Responsibilities we'll trust you with

• working closely with our clients and development teams to deliver innovative software and services
• hitting the ground running and thinking on your feet
• building complex, secure and scalable cloud-based solution
• being an expert advocate for the design, implementation and operations of backend or frontend products
• inspiring your team to build great software
• sharing knowledge and finding new ways to solve problems together
• being the Linux, CI/CD and IaC expert
• helping the development teams automate as much of their work as possible
• being the Goto expert for all things Cloud
• being a technical lead: using professional judgement to identify, remediate and delegate services issues within tight deadlines
• inspiring your team and our clients to embrace agile ways of working

Your areas of knowledge and expertise

• five years experience as a DevOps Engineer or Developer working on a variety of projects
  
• ideally AWS Certification (and/or other relevant technology)
• the ability to logically identify and solve problems and work with minimal guidance and direction
• experience of CI/CD and IaC and Agile working practises
• a good understanding of security, scalability and resilience in software development
  
• experience of implementing, releasing and maintaining frontend and backend applications
• tenacity, constantly questioning and shaping delivery
• the ability to work directly with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to discuss and document issues and solutions
• the ability to manage rapidly changing and emerging requirements and priorities with focus on delivering business value
• always accountable and open with the team and stakeholders
• excellent knowledge of English with first-rate verbal and written communication skills
• eligible to work in the UK

This is a full-time position based in the UK. As we do not have a UK office, you are able to work from home as appropriate but should be prepared to commute to clients on a regular basis if required.

Most of our clients have adopted hybrid working practices and support flexible working, though the split between office and home working will vary. If you have any concerns or specific needs we will be happy to discuss flexible working arrangements further.
