Devops Team Lead

Introduction

We want you to join Databand team (The Band) and help us with building a product for fellow engineers using a cutting-edge technological stack and the highest engineering standards.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Create a top notch SaaS and On-Prem application for Data Engineers and Data Managers which monitors data reliability issues in their data pipelines
• Support a growing team of developers building advanced development environment.
• Own release and security processes within Databand.
• Drive impact directly on Databand business by workin and collaborating with your team managers and peers to in a stream-aligned team that is driven by business impact with clear business KPIs
• Maintain an awesome engineering culture that emphasizes achieving business goals in a cutting edge technologies environment

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 4+ years of experience as a team leader
• Leadership skills – ability to understand a very high level goal extract it into a technical project and execute it while inspiring the other team members. Business orientation – understanding the value of the features you are working on and making the right technological decisions to achieve the value
• Understanding basic security process taking ownership on all security requirements for release within IBM standards
• Experience with distributed system and cloud technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Proven record of building and maintaining CI/CD processes. Experience in working on a SaaS application with high industry standard CICD and development cycle processes
• Great communication skills ability to understand customer requirements into technical spec

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience with managing distributed teams – big advantage
