Purpose:
In this role, you will serve as the Senior Director of Lilly's DevSecOps organization with accountability to deliver strong operational excellence and transformational programs to push the organization towards the future (e.g. automation, cloud). You will partner with IT and business leadership to drive speed, quality, and security with impacts across the enterprise. Key areas of responsibility include: CI/CD Pipelines, Integrations & Platforms/Tools (i.e. Salesforce, Heroku, GitHub, Jira). You will have a leadership role in coaching, development of resources, and staffing an IT team. You will be a member on the Enterprise Platforms Lead Team and play a leadership role with impact across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:
- Transform: Create and deliver a transformational strategy and roadmap to enable the organization to drive and respond to the exponentially changing technology landscape (e.g. automation and integration).
- Partner: Build effective partnerships (e.g., Information Security, Digital Health, and Service Management) and champion continual collaboration across IT to learn and anticipate business trends. Collaborate and investigate to understand business needs and use-cases for enterprise data and tools (i.e. Agile, Prioritization).
- Influence strategy: Partner with stakeholders on strategic recommendations to bring in new technologies, maximize the value of current assets, and move away from others. Influence program priorities based on business need and value gain for Lilly business outcomes.
- Lead implementations: Drive key program initiatives and technology roadmaps. Lead compliant/secure tech implementations. Influence/direct automation toolset implementations to be aligned with strategic roadmap and standards.
- Managing portfolio and contracts: Drive portfolio and vendors contracts as key strategy assets to enable Lilly to drive innovation and modernize technical debt.
- Drive and enable adoption: Maximize value derived from toolset by increasing knowledge across IDS of capabilities and how to maximize the services and technologies. Expose and overcome barriers.
Basic Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in an IT subject area (computer science, information systems, etc.) or at least eight years of equivalent experience leading a team in IT.
- A minimum of 8 years working with technology
- Previous experience leading a team that drove either DevSecOps or a facet of IT (CI/CD, Developer Experience, Software Engineering).
Additional Skills / Preferences
- Master's degree in IT subject area (computer science, information systems, etc.).
- AWS/Azure certifications or experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, influence, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated strong partnership skills and influence with business partners inside business unit context.
- Demonstrated influence and communication skills across all levels of IT.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with multiple examples of being able to convey complex ideas and thoughts in manners that resulted in definitive directions and results.
- Ability to drive and justify the most optimal technical decisions.
- Deep vendor management experience.
- Proactive, demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo and strong ability to drive peers and above to timely decisions.
- A high level of intellectual curiosity, external perspective, and innovation interest.
