Job Description
Main tasks
- Support implementation of the Sustainable Procurement Strategy
- Support regional/category procurement teams to integrate and implement sustainability initiatives with their suppliers
- Coach procurement teams to enable them to support suppliers, as well as suppliers (as required) in complying with relevant sustainability requirements
- Support definition of global strategic initiatives (climate change, circularity, human rights and others as required)
- Design dashboards/KPIs for timely reporting and routine tracking of performance across teams to enable robust implementation
- Monitor the regular implementation/execution of various initiatives and highlight issues for resolution by relevant teams/provide solutions as required

Accountability
- Human Rights & Decent work
- Own the implementation plan of decent work criteria
- Review the supplier assessments & provide feedback fpor improvement/corrections actions plans required by teh suppliers.
- Develop, coach, lead and manage procurement teams as well as associated teams (Global Procurement Services/GPS etc) on decent work related topics
- Coordinate and evaluate performance of the GPS teams for execution
- Track the supplier performance and build capacity of teams to support program evolution, as required
- Develop new solutions/models to overcome the chronic challenges faced by suppliers
- Document the success stories, quantify and validate the impact
- Develop, plan and perform internal and external training and awareness sessions (face-to-face and virtual, live and recorded)
- Report KPI for external/internal reporting and audit
- Data validation consolidation at global level
- Report KPI for external/internal reporting and audit
Other initiatives
- Review of the global procurement processes and embedding sustainability criteria at various stages (procurement excellence system, total cost of ownership)
- Contribute to the development of new programs to enhance sustainability credentials
Qualifications
Knowledge
- Good knowledge of Labor rights/working conditions/Decent work, Environment, Health & Safety and corporate responsibility requirements and standards
- Good knowledge of sustainability issues in procurement domain/supplier
- Good knowledge of global regulatory landscape related to sustainable procurement and relevant obligations
- Preferred knowledge of leading sustainability practices of other global businesses
Experience
Essential-
- Experience of managing large scale sustainability engagements with suppliers and coordinating with multiple internal teams
- Experience of managing end to end supplier audits, preparing & reviewing supplier audit reports, corrective action plans & conducting closure audits.
- Good understanding of balancing procurement sensitivities (cost, on time deliveries etc) in sustainability engagement
Preferred education -
- Engineering/MBA/MSW
- Additional qualification-certifications - SA8000
- Overall 7+ years of experience related to social audit or factory audit experience on labor conditions/experience on sustainable procurement will be preferred
- Demonstrated customer focus with the ability to build effective working relationships with all stakeholders

- Travels may be expected
