Job Summary
The Diamond Forming Specialist is responsible for the manufacturing; mixing, molding, pressing, and inspection of metal, resin, and vitrified bond systems, with emphasis on in-process inspection and forming operations used for the electronics market for wafer thinning applications.
A Diamond Forming Specialist:
- Utilizes knowledge of various Superabrasives products along with metal, resin and vitrified bond products.
- Operates presses, mixing and molding equipment, inspection units and various other manufacturing equipment.
- Mounts, installs, aligns, and secures tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using a wide variety of hand / power tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Studies blueprints, work orders, or machining instructions to determine product specifications, tool requirements, and operational sequences.
- Mixes, mold, presses and inspects metal, resin and vitrified bond FAVS type products.
- Monitors machine operation and controls panel displays, and compares readings to specifications in order to detect malfunctions.
- Logs data and process monitoring utilizing SPC formatted systems and procedures.
- Supports World Class Manufacturing activities including autonomous work teams.

Required Qualifications
What you should bring to this role:
- HS diploma or GED and a minimum of 3 years experience in a machining environment.
- General manufacturing skills such as blueprint reading, advanced math skills (measure in standard and metrics), and basic computer skills are required.
- Requires 7-9 months' work experience to become proficient in all phases of the job to work independently.
- Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Frequently required to stand; walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
