Job Description

The Digital Brand Specialist is responsible for improving the foundation of the website's taxonomy and navigation, carefully reviewing product attribution, and analyzing data to optimize the customer's discovery and selection of product for the specified brand. They are responsible for key components of product set-up, attributing the product, as well as accuracy in the customer facing experience. This person will be held accountable in ensuring that the right product is in the right place on Belk.com. This position will require participating in regular meetings with vendors, QBRs, merchants and other business partners . The Digital Brand Specialist will also be responsible for driving business strategy, reporting, and partnering with vendor to execute key initiatives throughout the year.

Job Functions

  • Accountable for key components within product set up process and partnering with offshore team and vendor throughout set up process
  • Subject matter expert in product attribution and best in class placement of products within shops, trends, and core navigation.
  • Collaborate and work cross-functionally with stakeholders to analyze, educate, and assist in understanding standards for product attribution, i.e. Search, Taxonomy, & Analytic Teams
  • Assist with customer service issues and questions
  • Partner with the Taxonomy, Onsite Search, and SEO teams to drive new navigation points for the website.
  • Assist Digital Manager to provide weekly and as needed reporting on business status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Align data across all customer touch points and devices, establish best practices across competitive landscape; assist in promotion execution, execute brand shop, optimize facet and browse
  • Optimize product detail page including but not limited to: size & fit Information, attribution, images, and product reviews
  • Assist Digital Manager to execute visual merchandising strategies by leveraging analytics and vendor feedback to drive increases in engagement and conversion.
  • Participate in Key Quarterly Business Review (QBR) by providing insights to help determine next steps for best online experience
  • Participate in regular meetings with vendors, QBRs, merchants and other business partners
  • Provide business leadership and data driven feedback to maximize branding opportunities and sales.

Education / Experience Requirements

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Previous experience with product attribution and site merchandising.
  • 3 years Retail experience preferred
  • Functional understanding of retail business processes and ability to drive sales and profitability.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • 3 years Retail experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Microsoft suite of applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point). Proficient in Excel
  • Experience in attribution tools such as Salsify, IBM PIM, etc.
  • Strong communication Skills - both oral and written
  • Effective at reporting task status in a cross-functional environment
  • Must have organizational, analytical, negotiation, and problem solving skills
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills in order to meet routinely with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel as needed (manual travel is required)
