Sentara Health is currently hiring a Business Development Manager for the Health Plans team!

This is a Full Time position with day shift hours and great benefits!

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management/Administration, Information Technology, or Marketing required. Master's degree preferred.
• Eight years of web development and design experience are required.
• This position requires an in-depth understanding of web technology and strategy, including web development, mobile web development, web usability, content, interactive marketing, search, and social media.
• Willing to travel.
• Experience with team management, market insights, big data, and quantitative/financial acumen is a plus. Demonstrates use of digital innovation. Proven ability to influence and drive change.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Lead the development and implementation of a digital strategy that aligns with the organization's priorities and business objectives.
• Innovates and delivers relevant and engaging content. Implements the latest digital techniques and methods to develop and support cutting-edge, interactive, competitive digital initiatives.
• Optimize user experience, and information sharing, and employ digital strategies to increase brand awareness and preference and to build volume and revenue at regional and national levels.
• Provides business development strategy and manages a team that identifies new/existing opportunities, supporting the business from conceptualization through implementation.

Sentara Health Plans is the health insurance division of Sentara Healthcare doing business as Optima Health and Virginia Premier.

Sentara Health Plans provides health insurance coverage through a full suite of commercial products including consumer-driven, employee-owned, and employer-sponsored plans, individual and family health plans, employee assistance plans, and plans serving Medicare and Medicaid enrollees.
