Location: Cincinnati, OH

Cincinnati Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in office / 2 days at home weekly
Travel Requirements: 1-2 times per year, 3-4 days each

Job Summary
PatientPoint is looking for a self-directed, intellectually curious, and highly capable editor and writer to join our Cincinnati, Ohio-based Creative team. As a full-time Digital Content Editor for our physician-facing, back-office programs, you’ll work with the Senior Editorial Director to conceptualize and execute new and existing content. The successful candidate enjoys writing, editing and collaborating on content that engages our professional audience. Staying organized, hitting deadlines, and working with a diverse and dedicated multi-location team are all requirements of the position. This is a think-on-your-feet, be-kind-to-others and get-the-job-done position – if that describes you, we’re interested.

What You’ll Do

  • Content creation. You’ll help concept and craft new content for multiple platforms, programs, and medical specialties, with the goal of a year-over-year increase in quality and user engagement. You’ll also work with the partnerships and customs team to create physician-facing messages. This requires strategic thinking and copywriting skills.
  • Content planning. At the direction of the editorial director, you’ll help manage our editorial cycle, maintaining awareness of daily, monthly, and quarterly publishing cycles. You’ll publish monthly emails to internal clients, highlighting upcoming featured content, and create specialty- and program-specific demo reels for external stakeholders.
  • Content editing. You’ll work with vendors to acquire, customize/revise, fact-check and publish medical news and content. You’ll also review drafts in copy and layout stages from other programs, and provide feedback to designers to help create engaging user experiences.
  • Content publishing. You’ll upload, format and tag final content into various publishing platforms on a daily basis.

What We Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications or related field with 5+ years applicable professional experience
  • Journalistic integrity, critical thinking, and ability to comprehend and work with medical information
  • Demonstrated skills in creative concepting and copywriting
  • Demonstrated writing and editing experience in medicine, science, and/or healthcare
  • Excellent verbal communication and ability to work well with others as part of a team
  • Ability to juggle assignments on multiple programs and quickly respond to requests from various stakeholders
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
  • Ability to adopt new technologies and digital publishing platforms
  • Ability to stay focused and work independently on intellectually challenging, detail-oriented content

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Teams, Drupal, JIRA and Broadsign
  • Experience building relationships in a team environment
