What you’ll do

• Join the R&D luminaires team in Eindhoven exploring the cost down opportunity of digital control system for future IOT luminaires.
• Study the power converters topologies and check how dedicated ICs can be integrated in the MCU being used in Philips Hue luminaires; Design the algorithm for MCU to control those power converters (mainly mains input current and LED output).
• Prove the feasibility of control algorithm in simulation tool (like MATLAB, LTspice, etc) and build the prototype to implement the algorithm with C code in MCU.
• Support the R&D team with electronics and HW/SW development.

Your qualifications

• You are finalizing Masters in the field of Electronics Engineering. 
• Available for minimally 6 months with minimal 4 days per week and able to start your internship in September.
• You have knowledge with digital control design and MCU programming. Preferably also understand the power electronics like Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost converters.
• Proactive and enthusiastic to communicate with senior stakeholders.
• A self-starter who is passionate about the latest technology and eager to learn on the job.
