Digital Coordinator (Freelance)

The Role

Jellysmack is seeking a Digital Coordinator to join our growing JellySmash team. They will work on original content for top Jellysmack talent partners, with an emphasis on pre-production and post-production for new Creator partners. The Coordinator must have up-to-date knowledge of modern social video platforms including Snap, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok. The Coordinator will be a detail oriented and organized problem solver with a positive attitude. The ideal candidate is familiar with all aspects of video production, from creative development to post-production. This Los Angeles-based position will report into the Director of Programming and require cross-functional collaboration with our international offices.

The Responsibilities

• Work in multiple phases of digital production including: development, pre-production, and post-production
• Help guide new Creator clients through the JellySmash Productions onboarding process
• Manage communication between Jellysmack departments and Creator partners
• Assist with pre-production of upcoming shoots, including: helping to coordinate creative, talent, locations, clip sourcing, props, and more as needed
• Help develop pitches for potential talent, including content strategy, format and video concepts, scripts, taglines, and other assets in service of JellySmash and it's partners' creative needs
• Maintain production workflows and schedules, and multi-task between the needs of several simultaneous Creator partners
• Partner with Producers and executives to manage and communicate the schedule and creative expectations of the production shoots
• Facilitate communication amongst various departments disseminating information regarding creative, deadlines and status updates; update internal trackers and project management documents as needed
• Analyze video data and performances to create strategy for new rounds of development
• Work in lock step with centrally based Production Management to request, plan and schedule shoot resources; liaise regarding on set issues or problems

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working with native digital video, coordinating creative for content across all social video platforms
• Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.), and best use cases
• Ability to think critically and execute tasks accurately and efficiently
• Highly detailed, organized, and planning-oriented, with exceptional follow-through, initiative, and time management skills
• Flexible, with the ability to quickly adapt to changes in production plans and schedules
• Enthusiastic team player able communicate succinctly, emanate calm and remain focused in a growing, changing environment
• Overseeing multiple projects, adept at prioritizing, anticipating potential issues, identifying problems, recommending and implementing solutions
• Proven ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Experience with project management tools such as Airtable and Monday.com a plus
• Extensive knowledge of Google Suite, and Adobe Creative Cloud
• Ability to attend the occasional meeting that can be as early as 7AM PT to accommodate international time zones
