Job Summary:

You will be a part of the Digital Strategy & Innovation organization responsible for developing new digital offerings for Avnet's customers and suppliers. You will define and explore new digital products that accelerate and scale the deployment of new supplier technology and greatly improve customers' ability to develop cutting edge and differentiated solutions. You will develop internal process, tools, and training offerings that enhance and connect the product realization activities for Avnet's Field Application Engineers to other functional groups within Avnet to ensure a digitally enabled seamless customer experience from product design inception to end of life.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Develop relationships with technical leaders to influence the deployment of engineering solutions through digital system implementations and enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, developers, testers, and other subject matter experts to gather and analyze information needs and functionality requirements.
• Define and communicate the value of proposed solutions to customers, suppliers, and Avnet.
• Promote and apply value selling methodologies and transformational projects in order to increase customer adoption of Avnet's digital offerings.
• Provide value added solutions for the company and its defined supplier(s) growth plans and business.
• Plan and manage programs/projects to meet product delivery, customer service and revenue goals.
• Review customer requirements, identifies tasks, assigns and coordinates resources and creates/tracks project schedules.
• Make rapid and prudent business decisions based on data analytics in order to craft sales and deployment plans for digital assets.
• Collaborate between global sales teams, support teams, internal and external stakeholders globally.
• Update and maintain critical business information in databases which serve as migration information systems.
• Create and execute custom migration strategies for design region customers and execute based on set strategies.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Develops solutions to highly complex and uniquely challenging situations. Assignments require extensive evaluation of alternatives and variables. Expected to make improvements to policies and procedures.
• Works independently toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated using independent judgment and discretion. May act as informal team lead and/or coach less experienced team members.
• Serves as consultant to management and/or internal/external spokesperson for the organization on major initiatives related to policies, plans and long-range objectives.
• Actions may impact the organization and its reputation. Effects of erroneous decisions may be long-lasting, influence the future course of the organization and/or require the expenditure of extensive additional resources.

Work Experience:

• Typically 8+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.

Education and Certification(s):

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

Distinguishing Characteristics:

• 10-15 years of experience working as a design, manufacturing, or quality engineer for a large electronics based firm.
• Expert level understanding of the product realization process within electronics OEM and EMS sectors.
• Experience supporting or designing processes for ecosystem level business systems. Examples include, Configure Price Quote (CPQ), Design for Manufacturing & Test (DFX/DFT), Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
