Job Description:

The Digital Design Specialist works with the Creative Team on a wide range of product promotions and advertising campaigns. This individual is largely responsible for the creation of our in-store digital content as well as content for our mobile app and websites. This person should have a basic understanding of responsive design while adhering to both brand standards and design architecture. The Digital Design Specialist must also help to guide the design architecture used throughout our various digital platforms. If a guest interacts with something digitally, this person knows about it and enjoys working on the design strategy behind it.

Be able to balance the expectation of internal clients with the execution of Creative teams, ultimately delivering work that is on strategy and delivers business outcomes. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders on prioritization, progress and creative recommendations rooted in on-brand, strategic direction. A persuasive and confident approach to creative projects. Manage time well for yourself and teams, identifying and focusing on priorities while managing clients' expectations.

What you'll do:
  • Creates and edits digital content unique to the internal client's request and is responsive across the appropriate digital platforms.
  • Develop content/copy for multiple channels including but not limited to social media, instore merchandising, digital assets, etc.
  • Execute organic social media content
  • Ability to design/illustrate; create vector art for the app, emails, packaging elements and instore signage
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure that creative projects and briefs are clearly defined, and can be delivered within required parameters (time, budget, etc.). Ensure your work is consistent with the brand tone/identity across all concepts.
  • Ensure that all projects are effectively tracked (on-time) and efficiently produced (on-budget). Whenever needed, collaborate with external agency partners on projects and production process. Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing team.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities where creative can have an impact on the business. Have an eye for areas of opportunity to improve processes and efficiency within marketing team and internal clients, as well as eternal vendors and agencies.
  • Collaborates with Brand Team on the look and feel for mobile app promotions and third party mobile and display ads.
  • Creates design themes and generates new copy ideas for email marketing campaigns.
  • Thinks strategically and uses artistic, technical and organizational skills to create a product that perfectly packages the message to engage the target audience.
  • Designs a cohesive look for website graphics and banner ads.
  • Using the Adobe Creative Suite, this person creates and edits graphics/videos for digital platforms such as in-store television screens, fuel pump, ATM, and self-checkout screens.
  • Provides guidance for IS and UX teams as they consult on digital development or test projects.
  • Collaborates with Communications Team on graphics for our employee-facing intranet site.
  • Creates motion graphics from scratch or by using visual assets produced by Creative Team.
  • Comfortable recording and editing some employee-facing video projects.
  • Presents final product to Creative Manager and client for approval and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Keeps up to date with trends in digital design and enjoys inspiring others.
  • Catalogs and archives key project assets for future use by group.


Qualifications:
  • 2+ years experience in Digital Design
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing or Design
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, mainly Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere or After Effects for motion
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office software
  • Has a basic understanding of how to alter HTML and CSS
  • Ability to work on a Mac but has an basic understanding of the PC platform too
  • A team player with great written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional portfolio required
