Digital Designer
Job Description
This highly conceptual creative role lives within the Creative Department and reports to the ACD, Digital. This candidate is a digital-minded and strategic thinker in web design, social media, and email essentials. They have a strong understanding of the user experience and how their design decisions affect the journey. The candidate will be expected to focus on developing all digital content. Collaborative skills with other designers, copywriters, managers and outside vendors is a must. Our department goal is quite simple - continually strive to elevate our brands with timely, strategic, stellar creative initiatives. We are a hard working, "hands dirty", in-house marketing department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and produce creative deliverables: on brand, responsive design, concepts and wireframes
- Stay current with the latest digital trends
- Execute multiple concepts under a singular vision, as directed by ACD, Digital
- Create effective and highly visual presentations and proposals, as directed by ACD, Digital
- Manage multiple projects on different schedules, from concept through production
- Work with and help manage Cambria's digital asset management system
- Collaborate with Digital and IT teams to finalize creative digital deliverables - wireframes, email, etc.
- Comfortable with user experience thinking, brand thinking, digital best practices
- Dotted line to social media director - to deliver high quality creative work for all social channels
- Work cohesively and collaboratively in a team environment
- Work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
- Present ideas effectively, both verbally and visually, to Creative Director and team
- Follow company creative and production processes
Requirements
- Strong skills in all Adobe CS programs
- Knowledge of design for digital file formats that support web, email and other electronic communications
- Proficiency in understanding of digital design and production processes - interface design, usability, accessibility, HTML, CSS, wireframes, user journeys and responsive design
- Self-starter and broad creative thinker
- Works well under time pressure on rapidly evolving projects
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates the understanding of typography and layout
- Familiarity with digital file formats to provide graphics to support web and electronic communications
- Has a positive attitude and collaborative spirit
- Knowledge of Sketch or other UX/UI software a plus
- Knowledge of traditional print design a plus
Minimum Requirements:
Education: BFA, BA or BS in Graphic Design or equivalent
Experience: 2-5 years of experience
Additional Requirements:
Travel Requirements: Minimal travel to business partners or other Cambria locations
Physical Requirements:Office position requiring telephone and computer use. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds for displays, samples and other marketing materials
