ADP is hiring a Digital Designer. This is a hybrid role based out of our Roseland, New Jersey headquarters on a hybrid work schedule.
The successful candidate must be capable of being a team player in the Creative Services department of a global company with 60,000+ employees worldwide. As a Digital Designer, you will work on a variety of assignments individually and with other members of the department as well as interact with business partners throughout the organization. This position requires experience in high-end, creative digital design and layout concepts, HTML programming, as well as a proven record of working in a corporate environment, handling multiple tasks at the same time, and adhering to mastering and expanding upon strict corporate brand guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Designs and develops digital communications for ADP's Demand Marketing team, mainly but not limited to Landing Pages, Microsites, and HTML emails.
  • Command a design style that is visually inviting, functional, dynamic, and capable of maintaining the brand image.
  • Partner with designated marketing technologists, copywriters and content developers within the agency to produce, maintain and update content and design for agency produced and maintained websites.
  • Produces cutting edge online creative advertisements (banner ads, buttons, interstitials, etc.) for assigned online advertising projects, in conjunction with a marketing technologist and based on provided creative briefs. This job function requires some familiarity with rich media and online bandwidth considerations.
  • Design additional non-digital assets such as event collateral, PowerPoints, logos, infographics, PDFs, or print materials as needed.
  • Provide regular progress reports for ongoing web/interactive design projects.
  • Assists with updating and maintenance of intranet and internet properties.
  • Concepts, designs and assists in launching a variety of online advertising formats (banner ads, buttons, interstitials, etc.).
  • Periodically review websites and other interactive properties and recommends updates of content and design.
  • Stay current and utilize the latest web design trends, tools and practices.
  • Request additional training, tools, software and hardware upgrades to ensure a high level of skills and knowledge.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience of superior design history either in B2B, corporate or other relevant fields, including ad agencies, design studios, marketing firms, etc.
  • Must possess a modern sense of design aesthetics, and be very experienced in taking a concept and transforming it into a design theme to be used on a series of marketing pieces
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills to convey ideas clearly and interact effectively with business partners, including the ability to be direct yet diplomatic and professional when addressing issues or deficiencies
  • Strong client service orientation and ability to work with different business partners throughout the organization
  • Perfectionism and passion about art and design; unflagging attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work under tight deadlines and function well during periods of high-volume production
  • Problem solving "on the fly" abilities and a team player work ethic to help colleagues with production, presentations and last-minute changes for hard-deadline projects
  • Flexible and cool-headed under constructive criticism

SOFTWARE SKILLS:
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience in typographic, identity, web, information, interactive design and HTML coding.
  • Experience with programs such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and PowerPoint.
  • Must be familiar with web technologies such as Bootstrap, CSS, Javascript, AfterEffects, and XML development is desirable, but not essential.
  • Extensive experience with and/or knowledge of web server hardware, site architecture, user interface requirements, web navigation, web page layout, cross platform issues, browser and platform compatibility and capability, animation, image compression, size and speed issues.
  • Knowledge of Cold Fusion, firewalls, and other network/server security issues, as well as web-based electronic software are required.

EDUCATION:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of directly related work experience as described above BA or BFA in Graphic Design.
