BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

As an Associate Digital Designer, you will create immersive experiences to accelerate the awareness and adoption of MSC's Customer Solutions in our proprietary Digital Showroom. With a customer centric mindset, you will use data, collaborate cross functionally, and operate autonomously to build customer demonstration environments showcasing the breadth of MSC's digital capabilities so that we can help our customers gain a deeper understanding of how our capabilities can make them better.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the design and technical build of customer demonstration environments.
• Participates cross functionally in the co-development of new solutions aimed at improving end user experiences.
• Helps develop comprehensive eco-systems and architecture that make these solutions repeatable and scalable outside of the company.
• Identifies and evaluate new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with technology roadmap and business value; creates plans for integration and update into architecture.
• Collaborates with Product, Digital, Marketing, Legal, Category, Sales, and Operations teams to gain alignment and meet requirements.
• Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
• Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree required; experience in lieu of education may be considered.
• Visual arts and/or technical background is preferred.

SKILLS:

• Strong problem solving and learning ability, good visual arts and communication skills and sense of ownership.
• Strong desire for knowledge and passion for innovation.
• Ability to embrace failure and overcome embarrassment when trying something new.
• Experience with no-code / low code, 2D / 3D design, and visual effects applications is preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 15% of the time may be required.

This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information ("ITAR") and/or Controlled Unclassified Information ("CUI").
