TITLE: Digital Engineer

JOB LOCATION: 350 Campus Drive, Marlborough, MA 01752

DUTIES: Design and develop Java/J2EE based software applications with Spring Microservices Architecture, J2EE design patterns, PL/SQL and Data Structures.

• Deploy the applications to Amazon Web Services cloud platform using Docker.
• Design and develop IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS) services with IBM DB2 relational database and WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
• Develop event driven software application integrations and data feeds to third party providers and internal consuming systems with Amazon Web Services Lambda, Simple Queue Service (SQS) real time data streaming frameworks.
• Implement performance tuning strategies, methodologies, and techniques to scale software applications for distributed platforms.
• Adopt test automation frameworks such as Test-driven development and REST Assured for defect free application development.
• Full stack application development with agile development environment using twelve factor and extreme programming principles.
• Ability to work in an on-shore-offshore delivery model to deliver code continuously to meet an aggressive timeline.
• Preparation & modification of functional and technical design documents for software applications.
• Attend daily scrum meetings with development and product team to discuss on the current progress and showstoppers for the application development.
• Develop test cases and test plans: Unit testing, Integration testing and User Acceptance testing

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science or foreign equivalent or related field, plus 3 years of software development experience; 3 years experience as a Software Engineer or Analyst plus 3 years experience with JAVA/J2EE, Spring Boot Microservices, Spring MVC, Spring Security, GraphQL, MySQL, and Hibernate, automated unit and regression testing, use of monitoring tools including Alert definitions, IBM WebSphere portal, building integrations and feeds to 3rd party providers and internal systems, IBM DB2, MySQL, SQL Squirrel, Eclipse, Git, SVN, WinSCP, Putty, AWS, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, SDK, EC2, EBS, Docker, Lambda, Kubernetes, CI/CD, KAFKA, Algorithms, Data Structures, design patterns, Microservices architecture; Experience may be gained concurrently
