Digital Marketing and Social Media Intern
Introduction:
This role is open to undergraduate students currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program, majoring in marketing, business, communications, or other similar major. The intern will work in several different functional areas but may have a specific focus in the area(s) of digital marketing, social media, and data analysis. This role will not only provide opportunities insights into marketing strategy and engaging in exciting marketing initiatives, it will also provide guidance and training in key areas of digital marketing and social media.
Responsibilities:
- Support social media strategy but generating and implementing new ideas for outreach and engagement, including posting and direct interactions with followers.
- Assist with the creation of paid social media campaigns including the delivery of post-campaign metrics and analysis.
- Conduct research into key industry topics through social listening tools to support the development of relevant content and social media promotion.
- Conduct research into topical retail trends and compile content ideas to support the company blog.
- Conduct competitive research into websites and paid search/ads.
- Assist with the coordination of paid search programs and review of performance metrics to guide additional digital marketing efforts.
- Assist with data review and cleanup projects to enable more targeted marketing programs and campaigns and support online location management.
Required Skills:
- This role is open to undergraduate students currently enrolled in a four-year degree program, majoring in marketing, business, communications, or other similar degree.
- Knowledge of social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube is a strong plus)
- Interest in social media, web, digital marketing, and research.
- Creative, strategic thinking and logical reasoning skills.
- Capable of taking direction and working independently on assigned tasks.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse team members as needed.
