The Modernize Team is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist to be the hub for developing, distributing and analyzing engaging email communication between Modernize and our customers.
The Digital Marketing Specialist will support the Demand Generation team as well as key stakeholders cross-functionally. We’re looking for someone who is a strong writer with an acute knack for messaging, meticulous attention to detail, and yet speedy execution.

Responsibilities
Strategy
- Design, develop and execute short- and long-term email marketing strategy and campaigns to support business financial goals and objectives
- Support the Demand Gen team and cross-functions in additional communication
Content - Develop engaging emailer and newsletter content, subject lines and call-to-actions focused on the target audience
- Develop landing pages to drive customer action
- Proofread emails for clarity, grammar, and spelling
- Target each audience segment with relevant and value-added content
- Develop and execute a variety of communication styles as per email goal
- Grow new customer email database while maintaining/lowering overall customer acquisition costs
- Confirm prompt and accurate communication with customers via email to minimize unsubscribes
Technology
- Ensure mobile-friendly email templates
- Enhance email templates using graphics, personalization, and advanced features
- Introduce current trends and new technology
Metrics
- Collect, analyze and report on campaign performance and suggestions for improvements using SMART insights on a weekly basis
- Establish and report on email KPIs
- Report on financials attributed to email marketing efforts
- Generate email lists and campaigns and segment based on behaviors and interests
- Provide adhoc reporting as needed
Compliance
- Ensure emails follow industry policies and best practices to meet compliance
ExperienceÂ
- BA or BS in marketing, communication or a relevant field
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as an email marketer, digital marketing or a related field
- 3-4 years' experience managing content, developing creative assets for a team
- Exceptional writing skills with proven ability to build content to drive interest and excitement
- Proficiency in marketing automation technology and troubleshooting
- Hands on experience with HTML and content management systems a plus. This includes tools like Eloqua, Hubspot, Pardot, Marketo plus others
- Familiarity with CRM systems and reporting tools a plus. This includes Salesforce, Bizible and Marketing Cloud
- Knowledge of SEO/SEM and Google Analytics
- Ability to think strategically, creatively, and opportunistically
- Strong project management skills and ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize issues
- A quick learner with a passion to become an expert in the markets served
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
