General Summary:

Open to Columbia, SC and Chattanooga, TN locations.

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing, building, and improving our marketing automation programs for acquisition, lead generation, nurturing and scoring. Main responsibilities include the setup, deployment, and management of email marketing efforts that include the creation of landing pages and web contact forms. The overall purpose of this position is to help drive new opportunities to our business by deploying and managing outbound campaigns, as well as conversion within current business opportunities. This position reports directly to the AVP, Digital Marketing and will be supporting foundational email, marketing automation, and digital marketing work in support of our demand and customer engagement campaigns.

There is flexibility in the opening, and we are evaluating individuals with varying experience levels.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support email production and execution through development and testing on prospecting and client programs.
  • Setup email campaigns complete testing and quality assurance steps. This will require email and landing page design troubleshooting (including minor web development/HTML editing)
  • Conduct list management and query/smart list updates as needed for email marketing campaigns and programs.
  • Plan, build, test, and deploy email automation programs (nurture, drip, triggers) in partnership with digital marketing team.
  • Support lead management via list and database management tasks (field creation, updates, record association, etc.)
  • Implement lead scoring updates to refine our lead/account qualification criteria with our sales partners.
  • Manage and update tagging, marketing program, and Salesforce campaign naming conventions/taxonomies to ensure clean and consistent performance data as needed.
  • Conduct data hygiene, clean up, and record conversion as needed within CRM to ensure data can fuel our reports, segments, and equip sales partners with the right information at the right time.
  • Execute "pre-launch" quality assurance tasks by confirming proper tracking, form creation/settings, data capture, event tracking, and necessary operational work is complete before launch.
  • Deliver performance metrics, reports, and analysis to equip content, writing, design, and UX teams with direction on what's working, what isn't working, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide data driven recommendations to better optimize ongoing digital marketing campaigns.
  • Keep abreast of current trends, changes, and news within the marketing automation space and regularly share information with web team.
  • Input and update project and task details for all work in Workfront in partnership with project manager and pilot owners.
  • Perform other duties assigned by manager.

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field; along with 1-2 years of experience in marketing, advertising, and communications (B2B marketing experience specifically in Technology industry a plus)
  • 1-2 years' experience using a marketing automation platform (Acoustic or Marketo preferred)
  • The ideal candidate will have experience marketing SaaS (Service-as-a-Software) solutions
  • Salesforce.com experience (1-2 years)
  • Experience leveraging web analytics tools like Google Analytics (1-2 years)
  • Experience with tag management tools like Google Tag Manager (1-2 years)
  • Outstanding attention to detail and high personal quality expectations
  • Exceptional verbal/written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
  • HTML/CSS programming knowledge
  • Knowledge and experience with marketing via multiple digital channels

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.

$53,700.00-$93,900.00
