About This Job
Reporting to the Commercial Marketing Media Manager, the Marketing Specialist will be responsible for working within a cross-functional marketing team in support of the overall paid and owned media strategy. This individual will be a key contributor to the broader team contributing to the planning, development, and execution of digital marketing programs across the Commercial Banking segment.
The media team at Commerce Bank is highly interconnected, agile and works in collaboration with the Commercial Brand and Growth Marketing Teams, Corporate Marketing Teams, Sales and Product Teams as well as Executive Leadership. This group supports several key functions to deliver on differentiated messaging and positioning across several Commercial business lines and segments. Overall, the Commercial Marketing Team helps internal clients (Product and Sales Teams) to better understand the value of marketing by delivering marketing support grounded in achieving results based on the alignment of business goals and performance data.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with internal marketing teams and other vendor partners to develop strategies and apply media solutions to overall client objectives
- Partner with internal teams and resource groups to meet goals in a matrix marketing environment
- Assist in the development of media performance reporting presentations including gathering reporting from trade publications, social media channels, email, and agency partners
- Support overall full-funnel digital program coordination through creation of graphics or other assets, as well as set-up and manage execution of digital marketing campaigns that drive engagement
- Drive campaign set up and monitoring of conversion tracking (UTMs, tags, triggers, etc.) and assist with lead generation activities
- Monitor campaigns and budgets to gain a better return on investment
- Plan and coordinate digital program tests
- Research and identify trends and insights to benefit digital programs
- Approach business challenges by using problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and attention to detail
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Basic understanding of client relationship management (CRM) concepts and business to business (B2B) email marketing campaigns
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to manage multiple priorities without direct supervision
- Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 1+ year event marketing experience required
- 1+ year developing marketing collateral, branding, communications, or other marketing initiatives experience required
