Digital Marketing Specialist
Job Description
Pay Range: $55000 - $65000 / year
Vertafore is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist with the ability to develop, implement, and manage digital marketing strategies, techniques, and tactics for Vertafore's websites to generate quality traffic.
Core Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:
- Lead in implementing and managing SEO strategies, ongoing maintenance, and regular reporting.
- Use SEO tools – Google products and online tools (i.e., Spyfu, SEM Rush, HotJar, HootSuite, Moz), and social analytics to help us make data-informed marketing decisions.
- Track performance of keywords rankings, KPIs, referral sources, etc. to learn what works and build on it.
- Coordinate with marketing team (design and development) to ensure website is aligned with goals of SEO/PPC campaigns.
- Assist with PPC/Search, and paid social media marketing, and conversion tracking via Google Ads and Google Analytics.
- Provide insightful data reporting and articulate trends, successes, and areas of needed improvement. Conduct website quality audits.
- Create/design web pages, through an understanding and basics of CMS technology to make website updates, build pages, and own various aspects of website maintenance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Requirements:
- Proficiency in managing regular website updates, building landing pages, and adding resources through our Content Management System (Drupal experience a plus.)
- Familiarity with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies, implementation, and ongoing maintenance, suggesting and implementing necessary changes.
- Familiarity with Pay-Per-Click (PPC)/Search campaigns is required, with ability to navigate Google Search Console, perform keywords research, and conduct competitor analysis.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills with a passion for connecting with audiences.
- Demonstrate experience creating content for multiple channels (web, social, print). Experience with multimedia content development a plus.
- Able to translate complex and technical concepts into easy-to-digest, audience-forward content.
- Able to integrate feedback to ensure content meets goals and expectations.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and a commitment to quality.
- Understanding of marketing and communication theory and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues correctly and clearly to both internal and external customers.
- Ability to adhere to brand style guidelines for tone and voice.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Able to work within time, budget, and resource constraints.
- Understanding of marketing metrics and able to analyze marketing data and KPIs to identify areas of opportunity and improvement.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in digital marketing
- Excellent writing and editing skills for a variety of audiences and situations.
- BA/BS degree in communication, English, journalism, marketing, or related field.
Additional Requirements and Details:
- Travel required up to 10% of the time.
- Located and working from an office location. #LI-Hybrid
- Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
- Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).
- Frequent sitting and/or standing.
