Digital Marketing Specialist - Brand and SEO
Job Description
The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for planning digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels, creating and publishing written and visual content to support marketing initiatives and managing SEO strategies to increase site traffic and improve organic search rankings.
The specialist will also be responsible for creating, editing, and optimizing engaging and high-quality content that aligns with our brand and business goals. This role involves a blend of strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and hands-on execution.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and implement effective SEO strategies to drive growth and increase website visibility and traffic that align with the firm's brand identity and business goals.
- Conduct keyword research and analysis to guide content creation and optimization.
- Monitor and analyze SEO performance and report on key metrics such as organic traffic, ranking positions, and engagement. Use these insights to make data-driven decisions and improve future strategies.
- Create, edit, and optimize high-quality, engaging content for our website and other digital platforms that accurately represents the brand and provides a positive user experience.
- Collaborate with content creators to ensure all digital content is consistent with the brand's voice, style, and messaging.
- Stay updated with the latest SEO/SEM and digital marketing trends and best practices.
- Test and implement various search engine marketing techniques, web layouts, and advertising for search engine optimization.
- Work with marketing colleagues to make recommendations on content enhancements and advise on SEO best practices.
INTERACTIONS AND CHALLENGES:
The Digital Marketing Specialist will work closely with various teams, including marketing, design, and development. The specialist will need to communicate effectively with these teams to align SEO and content strategies with overall business goals. The role may also involve managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines, requiring excellent time management and organizational skills.
QUALIFICATIONS / KSAs
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Digital Marketing Specialist or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices, and proficiency with SEO tools (experience with Conductor or Semrush a plus).
- Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing such as SEO/SEM etc.) and market research methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills paired with strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze data and provide insights.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, take direction from senior staff and clients, and offer new ideas/fresh perspective, as well as working well independently.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Experience Manager) and applications (GA4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager etc.)
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web development tools is a plus.
- Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality.
