We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Digital Marketing Specialist I on our Analytics Operations team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office.
As a Digital Marketing Specialist I, this role that will assist in the management and deployment of digitalcampaigns ensuring campaigns are deployed on time with data accuracy and a highdegree of quality to optimize marketing effectiveness and enhance user experience.Support assigned business units (BUs) including tactical execution andstrategic assistance. Expected to remaincurrent on industry best practices regarding marketing automation, emailmarketing and data.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Digital Campaigns
• Assist in the creation, management, and distribution of AMA's digital campaigns, primarily email. Includes campaign set-up, scheduling, testing, proofing with internal stakeholders and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered, and dynamic content-driven campaigns.
• Build and monitor campaign data extensions and filters within the marketing automation platform to ensure proper data is utilized in all digital campaigns
• Work with specific BUs to maintain accurate target audience profile and consult on segmentation strategies to enhance customer experience
• Assist manager in maintaining accurate and current governance for email policy and communicating that to internal stakeholders
Business Unit (BU) Support
• Support BUs by aiding in the development of their digital marketing strategies and implementing campaigns to drive results
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of various digital marketing campaigns based on stated objectives and hold quarterly meetings to identify opportunities to further enhance their digital marketing efforts
• Assist BU contacts in understanding their Datorama dashboards and work with them to customize dashboards with specific metrics critical to their needs
Marketing Automation
• Continue to expand marketing automation knowledge and expertise and leverage learnings to maximize platform utilization
• Recommend process and platform enhancements to faciltate ongoing marketing improvements
• Stay current on digital marketing trends and continually monitor best practice standards
May include other responsibilities as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent work experience with a concentration in Marketing or related coursework preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' experience with web-based marketing and communication tools required. Experience with Marketing Automation platforms highly desired and Salesforce Marketing Cloud a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
- Must have ability to communicate with both technical and marketing audiences.
- Experience in both utilizing and managing large databases
- Broad technical skills are necessary.
- Thorough knowledge of personal computer applications such as Excel, Word, PPT, is required. SQL, Access, SAS, experience a bonus.
- Knowledge and understanding of current digital channel best practices and legislation, including email deliverability, authentication and certification practices, and email Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), SMS legislation and best practices, and cursory knowledge of digital ads best practices
- Excellent organization and project management skills with strong attention to detail. Experience in a project management tool such as Asana, Workfront, or Basecamp a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills, root cause problem-solving skills, process mapping and data modeling skills.
- Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Demonstrated sense of initiative and professionalism.
