JOB SUMMARY:
The Digital Media Specialist is responsible for assisting the Digital Media Producer in developing and delivering digital media content and training programs, performing operations and maintenance of audio and video equipment for production and implementing digital media stragies and plans to achieve department and company goals.
This role is responsible for:
- Setting up and operating media production equipment for field and studio shoots (cameras, tripods, monitors, lights, microphones, power, rigging, etc.).
- Inventorying and maintaining departmental media production equipment and facilities.
- Coordinating activities to support all phases of the digital media lifecycle: research, pre-production, production, post-production and distribution.
- Categorizing and managing digital asset repository of multimedia content (finished programs, b-roll clips, audio clips, stills, stock photos, etc.).
Functional Expertise:
- Ability to work with recording equipment, cameras, sound systems, video screens and lighting.
- Good knowledge of multimedia content to develop well-designed media repository for efficient retrieval of digital assets.
- Advises production team on strategies and methods for improvement during field and studio shoots to achieve department and company goals.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines with strong attention to detail.
- Solution-driven, critical thinker with strong and creative problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter, able to work independently and in a team environment with minimal direction.
- Proactively stay up to date with digital media technologies and latest trends.
- Strong time management skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple on-going assignments.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive service attitude at all times.
- Collaborates with project teams, internal clients and instructional designers to develop computer-based training content and video training programs.
- Action-oriented, demonstrating a sense of urgency to meet critical and competing deadlines.
- Sense of ownership and pride in one's performance and its impact on department and company success.
- Understand customers' needs and goals and achieve department and project objectives within established Technical Training guidelines and procedures.
- Assist Digital Media Producer with implementation of digital strategy for Technical Training.
Education, Certifications/Licenses:
Required:
- High School or GED equivalent
Related Work Experience:
Preferred:
- Intermediate knowledge of After Effects and Adobe Illustrator
Required:
- Knowledge of media production equipment to include cameras, tripods, monitors, lights, microphones, power, rigging, etc.).
- Self-starter and highly motivated.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- High degree of planning and organizational skills
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in various indoor/outdoor environments potentially weather-challenged and hazardous
- Occasional travel
- Drive company vehicle/pool vehicle
- Ability to lift heavy equipment greater than 50 lbs
