Job Description

The Hatcher Group is seeking a seasoned Digital Media Specialist to support our growing digital media operations. You will be a pivotal player in navigating and aiding both our internal and external paid media campaign needs in alignment with both strategic and client objectives. With a keen understanding of paid media best practices across digital, out-of-home, radio, and television, you will be instrumental in realizing our clients' strategic objectives while setting unparalleled standards for operational excellence.

In this position, you will report directly to the Associate Director, Media Strategy. Your role will be central to offering media-focused insights, formulating paid media strategy, and supporting tactic placements and execution for our clients, which include nonprofit organizations, foundations, and government agencies.

We anticipate our Digital Media Specialist will be a proactive, innovative, and media-driven expert. Your role will entail planning and executing paid media campaigns, primarily in the digital space but also out-of-home placements, as well as radio and television. Past experience supporting paid media recruiting campaigns is a plus. Having 4+ years of media planning and buying experience, preferably spanning both digital (required) and traditional (highly preferred) mediums, is essential.


In joining our expanding team, you will offer support in leading paid media efforts for myriad clients, optimizing campaigns, and other related tasks. We are seeking a candidate who is intrinsically curious, media-savvy, and embraces learning and experimentation with new technology, strategies, and tactics.

At Hatcher, we are proud to maintain a 'flexible first' work culture. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance to our Bethesda office for regular in-person collaboration. The target salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and internal equity.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and executing paid media campaigns across digital, out-of-home, radio, and television.
  • Tracking and optimizing in-flight campaigns to maximize ROAS and generate results.
  • Collaboratively manage and track the media planning and buying processes for client projects.
  • Demonstrating a profound understanding of our client's media presence.
  • Contributing positively to our teamโ€™s ethos rooted in the firmโ€™s core values.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4ย years of relevant media planning and buying experience, preferably spanning digital and traditional mediums.
  • Profound knowledge of paid media best practices.
  • Proficiency in program management software, notably Monday.com.
  • Strong work ethic, accompanied by the capability to manage numerous deadlines.
  • Experience launching campaigns on digital platforms, including Meta, LinkedIn, Indeed, or via other such media buying platforms and tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and Google Suite.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with direct radio and television ad buys.
  • Past experience working on recruiting campaigns is a plus.
