Sentara Healthcare is hiring a Digital Media Specialist in Virginia Beach, VA!

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Must reside in Virginia Beach, VA or surrounding area. Can work remotely 3 weeks out of the month with possibly a week of video shooting on site at various Sentara locations. This position is 75% remote and 25% on site.

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET). M-F

Job responsibilities:

The Digital Media Specialist would also be responsible for periodic video shooting and editing, creating social media content, photography, and helping shape over all video and social media strategy for Sentara Health Plans.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's in business, marketing, public relations, communications, digital media, digital journalism or related field required
• 4 years of related experience in lieu of education is required.
• 3 years of experience in Digital Marketing, Information Technology, Marketing and Public Relations
• Experience with camera operation for shooting video and still photography, general knowledge of lighting, and editing software experience in: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom or other comparable software.
• Some travel required. This position is 75% remote and 25% on site.

Preferred qualifications:

• Healthcare experience is a plus

Job Summary

The Digital Media Specialist is responsible for the creation and implementation of all manner of content for the Sentara public website, sentara.com, and social/digital media presence in support of the Sentara strategic and marketing goals.

Bachelor's in business, marketing, public relations, communications, digital media, digital journalism or related field. 4 years of related experience in lieu of education is required. Exceptional communication (both verbal and written) skills and critical thinking skills. Ability to self-manage and lead projects from conception to completion. Understanding of web and mobile design, applications, navigation, Understanding and active use of Microsoft Office, Content Management Systems and other technology tools and platforms, graphic design program (such as PhotoShop), computer video editing software, and ability to learn new programs quickly and efficiently. Comfortable in multitasking oriented environment. Some travel required.
