iCrossing is seeking a Digital Media Strategy Director to join our growing Digital Solution Organization. The role needs strong cross functional media experience with a specific focus on media planning and optimization. Using various tools and through hands-on consumer and campaign data analysis, this role will be responsible for end-to-end marketing strategies. Engagements will focus on media program definition across a broad range of online and offline channels, real-time unified measurement approaches including multitouch attribution, and continuous always-on optimization.
In addition, this role will lead team execution from a competency and client facing perspective. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for ongoing programs and should be prepared to be a player/coach by instituting leading practices for performance, tagging strategy development, and digital measurement techniques across a technology agnostic toolset. A successful candidate will expand and develop our client facing marketing solutions by creating differentiated offerings for optimizing current client campaigns, developing better-performing campaigns strategies and execution, and elevating our clients' understanding of their marketing and advertising investments.
What you'll do
- Develop innovative marketing solutions and media strategies designed to achieve business outcomes across all channels
- Partner and consult with internal and client teams to provide comprehensive media expertise, thought leadership, and actionable recommendations
- Play the role of an entrepreneur, deeply invested in the outcomes of your clients' businesses
- Frame, design and execute solutions through expertise in audience strategy and planning, knowledge of clients' industry and competitive landscape, as well as a deep understanding of emerging digital trends and opportunities
- Develop customer-centric experience strategies and plans to drive business outcomes for brands
- Mentor and lead developing strategists
- Provide hands-on expertise to execution teams, as necessary, in implementing, and the account's paid media strategy for various channels including AdWords, Bing, Amazon, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook/Instagram, and other third-party ad platforms.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics for paid media performance.
- Establish frameworks for defining and optimizing paid media content.
- Manifest advertising strategies through strategic budget management methodology.
- Develop digital advertising strategies for complex enterprises and stakeholder groups
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key account contacts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
Who you are
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in developing, implementing, and leading paid media strategy for various channels including AdWords, Bing, and YouTube. LinkedIn, Facebook/Instagram, and other third-party ad platforms
- Demonstrated experience in enterprise level digital media planning, consulting, agency experience, and in-platform experience in Display, Paid Social, Paid Search and SEO
- Client-side experience is a plus, ideally working within an eCommerce or Digital Marketing team
- Ability to communicate complex ideas and plans effectively - both verbally and visually
- Experience managing client relationships and working collaboratively across organizations
- Comfortable participating in business development activities, including sales pitches
- Experience with syndicated research and social listening tools
- 5+ years of experience placing programmatic and display advertising
- Expert level with third-party media platforms (Ad Cloud, DV360, Skai Kenshoo, etc.)
- Experience with traditional media programs (preferred)
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to lead and direct internal resources with confidence, identify and act on project issues and risks, seeing each through to its proper resolution
- Solid business acumen, management, and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytic thought process and ability to interpret findings
- A strong working knowledge of statistical analysis and research methodologies
- Passion for digital marketing and interested in answering the question "Why?" based on your expertise

For New York City, the estimated salary range for this position is between $130,000 and $ 150,000. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
