Digital Print Cut Sheet Operator (2nd Shift)

Operates laser, xerographic or ink jet variable print imaging equipment.

Successful Candidate will be required to present acceptable proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before working onsite at DFIN.

• Review job instructions to prepare jobs for printing. 
• Set up and release jobs for print production.
• Adjust image position and fold on paper. 
• Operates and trouble-shoots printer integrated booklet-makers. 
• Monitor quality of job output for correctness and image quality. 
• Maintain inventory levels of supplies for the printers.

Requires knowledge of equipment set up, adjustments and operating procedures.
Ability to read and interpret job instructions to set up and operate equipment. 
Ability to diagnose, solve, and correct operating problems affecting the quality and timeliness of the service or product or function. 
May instruct junior level operators how to complete the required corrective adjustment.
Ability to identify and diagnose problems and provide possible causes and remedies. 

General Education and Work Requirements Education Level: Equivalent to high school
Reasoning: Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in or from standardized situations.
Mathematics: Able to read, copy and record figures. May involve simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Language Reading: Able to follow simple work instructions. Recognize meanings of two or three syllable words. Able to compare similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Able to speak simple sentences, using normal word order, and present and past tenses.

Specific Vocational Prep Over 6 months up to 1 year Personal Protective Equipment over 2/3 of the time
