Job Description

The Digital Product Analyst role will be a key partner in the support and ongoing enhancement of AB's global websites. Our websites serve over 1 million unique visitors in 30 countries and 12 languages around the globe. This role will partner with marketing leads and product management to understand the needs of all parties (users, business sponsors and web development) to gather information, analyze problems, create detailed and thorough documentation and provide solutions. The Digital Product Analyst will work closely with regional and marketing technology product managers and web development teams to evaluate new enhancement requests and manage expectations of prioritization and what is possible with stakeholders.

The candidate must have a very good understanding of technology and financial services business goals, agile methodologies and skilled in utilizing software development/project management tools like Jira and Confluence. Main tasks include collecting and documenting requirements and working with development and regional stakeholders to complete road mapped initiatives. This role will rely heavily on stakeholder feedback and coordination. Ideal candidate will also be a creative problem solver with an excellent work history and a drive to succeed.

Job Description

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Experience working in collaborative environments requiring communication and feedback from multiple partners and stakeholders. Including: Business Sponsors, Marketing, Front-End Development, Back-End Development, QA, Production, Content, Strategy and Design
  • Able to communicate well with technical teams and understand web development topics to lead backlog grooming, estimation, and sprint planning sessions as well as create detailed technical requirements, documentation and tickets
  • Deeply understand the operations processes and systems powering the AB websites and Adobe Content Management System
  • Facilitate working meetings effectively, using techniques such as active listening, negotiation and leadership. Tailor communication style to suit both face-to-face and virtual settings while offering strategic solutions to problems
  • Ability to account for global enhancement needs of all parties, including business sponsors, technology and senior leadership
  • Analyze and triage reported production issues and work with development team to resolve
  • Navigate an Agile/Waterfall hybrid approach to development and able to properly write user story acceptance criteria and work in a sprint timebox

Job Qualifications & Key Attributes

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Experience in projects related to digital marketing, web development, or CMS platforms preferred
  • Excellent writing, speaking, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Natural problem solver and self starter
  • Comfortable working in systems and marketing technology tools such as:
    • Adobe AEM or component based CMS
    • Jira, Confluence or other project/development management software
    • Data Analysis tools such as Adobe or Google Analytics
    • Workflow and Sales/Marketing Automation tools (Workfront, Marketo, Seismic etc)
  • Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Experience in asset management industry a plus
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Programs: Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook etc
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience
