Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Work closely with other Product team members, brand points of contact, development engineers and vendor delivery leads, to understand product requirements, translate strategy to tasks and prioritize accordingly.
  • Translate business objectives and user needs into features and user stories in a product backlog that describes the end goals and demonstrates the value to external and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify pros, cons, obstacles, dependencies associated with features and enhancements.
  • Partner with designers for UX development to ensure objectives are met.
  • Work closely with the scrum teams to ensure users stories meet our criteria for Definition of Ready.
  • Ensure there is a healthy, prioritized product backlog with items in a ready state to be considered for sprint planning.
  • Provide technical support to bridge the gap between product and technical aspects of UI and API product development.
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful completion of sprint or release goals.
  • Manage the product development lifecycle and delivery within a scrum team.
  • Facilitate and conduct story acceptance testing to support our Definition of Done.
  • Provide an active role in mitigating production issues based on bug triage process.
  • Participate in regular product reviews to fully engage other groups around the product.
  • Monitor research and the competitive landscape to recommend the best solutions to create best-in-class products.
  • Work with the analytics team to identify goals, metrics and analytics to determine product value and success factors.

Job Summary

The Digital Product Manager is responsible for helping to drive a delightful user experience for ecommerce (web and mobile) platforms and digital loyalty. They help translate vision into actionable roadmaps, work with technology and business stakeholders across our brands to optimize digital properties with a focus on driving sales and improving customer satisfaction.

Working with the Product team, they will help develop the roadmap and outline the plan for achieving the overall business objectives. The Product Manager is responsible for the timely execution feature development and making iterative enhancements to increase customer adoption.

They will maintain a prioritized backlog based on defined customer value, aligning with product strategy and resource capacity to organizational objectives. They will use data and analytics to help identify opportunities and prioritize the backlog appropriately. They help drive the successful execution of scrum teams to develop innovative stories and enhancements through the ownership of the product backlog and feature grooming.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in design, engineering, business or equivalent professional experience (required)

Work Experience

  • 5+ years in a product role with experience in launching digital products. (Product manager, Product owner, Business analyst)
  • Experience operating in an Agile/Scrum environment preferably leading a scrum team as the Product Owner.
  • Knowledge and understanding of full lifecycle software development best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and make decisions that inform the success of the product.

  • Develop user stores with strong acceptance criteria.
  • Able to validate API user stories using tools such as Postman.
