Digital Product Manager
Job Description
Scythe is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Digital Product Manager to help bring our innovative robotics solutions "beyond the bot" to life. As a Digital Product Manager, you will be responsible for championing the development, launch, continuous improvement, and expansion of our digital product suite. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders to develop and prioritize features, ensure product-market fit, manage the digital product roadmap, and drive effective decision-making. We are looking for a customer-obsessed individual who thrives in ambiguity and can blend achievability with desirability.
What you’ll do at Scythe:
- Champion the development, launch, and continuous improvement of Scythe's digital product suite by collaborating with teams across the organization and externally with key customers and stakeholders.
- Write product requirement documents (PRDs) and prioritize features; working closely with Engineering and Operations to assess feasibility, adjust scope, and schedule development.
- Manage the product roadmap for short and long-term feature development in a hybrid hardware-software development environment, reprioritizing product backlogs as necessary.
- Conduct market and customer discovery through customer visits, interviews, and surveys. Evangelize the customer and drive company-wide understanding of the market and customer context.
- Analyze competition and align goals, success metrics, and roadmap with Scythe's mission based on data analysis, market research, and usability studies.
- Foster cross-functional partnerships and effectively communicate roadmaps, priorities, experiments, and decisions to various audiences.
- Ensure effective communication of new product features and benefits to customers and support all areas of the organization, including Sales, Support, and Services.
- Drive teams to weigh tradeoffs, make effective decisions, and stay flexible in pursuit of the most effective outcomes.
What you know well:
- Experience and exposure to software product management (preferably 5+ years).
- Delivering successful software products.
- Communicating effectively, both written and verbal, with an intuition for communication strategy. Ability to present to leadership and external audiences.
- Effectively collaborating across different departments to bring concepts from idea to reality; designing scalable and extensible solutions while working closely with engineering to ensure feasibility.
- Thriving in a fast-growing startup environment.
- Working on and building cutting edge technology!
What you’ve maybe done:
- Acquired a Bachelor's degree in business management, engineering, or a related field.
- Utilized project management and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Slack, etc.).
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainable land stewardship.
Why Scythe?
- Be a core member of a small, focused, innovative team.
- Join an early-stage but well-capitalized startup, allowing you to have a huge impact alongside an awesome team of experts while shipping something the world has never seen before.
- Competitive salary and equity compensation.
- Fully-sponsored medical, vision, and dental insurance, including 75% funded dependent coverage.
- 401(k) retirement plan (non-matching today).
- Flexible remote/in-office work options; headquarters near beautiful Boulder, CO, offering the opportunity to enjoy the bounties of nature and open spaces close to home, including mountain biking, hiking, skiing, and more.
- Satellite offices in Austin, TX, and Vero Beach, FL.
