Job Summary
The Arch Insurance Digital Product Management team has responsibility for solving human and business problems with new technology. This role drives the product strategy, product roadmap development, and market delivery/operation of the product offering in assigned business segment. The Digital Product Manager will work closely with business peers and digital product management team members to effectively execute against digital initiatives including Partner Products, Underwriting Applications, and Enterprise Technologies. The incumbent will be an experienced dynamic, multidimensional digital professional who is strategic, technology savvy, and skilled in both product strategy and operational efficiencies.Â

Responsibilities

Perform market research, market validation and whitespace analysis to identify new opportunities for existing and new features and functionalityÂ

Partner with product owners/business owners to build product roadmaps that will be incorporated in to the broader company product portfolio planÂ

Foster close relationships with key market constituents to validate product strategy and roadmapÂ

Plan, prioritize, and manage the product features and requirements from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize revenue and meet operational, financial and corporate objectives in their business segment through their thorough understanding of the business segment needs.Â

Collaborate with the engineering and project management teams to ensure consistent execution of product plans that result in product delivery on time and in budgetÂ

Engage business partners to develop and execute action plans to address gapsÂ

Work with IT and Business partners to ensure the digital product in operation are well understood and supportedÂ

Partners with business and technical teams to plan and prioritize system releases and specific release content.Â

Assist with preparation of business case (financial/ROI) analysis to quantify & determine the value to the company of a current or potentially new system/application.

Understands the business and follows the software development methodology and processes and is effectively working with the software engineering/development teams.

Knowledge & Skills
-
A background in the commercial P&C insurance industryÂ
-
Strong knowledge in P&C Policy and Billing Capabilities
-
Experience with Guidewire Policy and Billing implementations. Specifically in a planning or requirements gather role. Â

Understanding of usability and user experience best practicesÂ
-
Experience synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions for building best in class digital productsÂ
-
Understanding of product lifecycle developmentÂ

Experience defining digital content experiencesÂ

Ability to evaluate, analyze and interpret the voice of the customer through a variety of data sourcesÂ
-
Ability to be strategic and tactical in day to day interactions Â

Good consensus building skillsÂ

Ability to convey technical concepts in a clear, understandable way  Â

Ability to overcome internal barriers and negotiate resource constraints to produce successful digital initiativesÂ

Good communication and presentation skills

Prior experience working with 3rd party vendors to deliver resultsÂ

Ability to establish credibility, influence and effective working relationships with peers and stakeholders

Education & Experience

Required knowledge & skills would typically be acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science or related field (or equivalent in experience) with 3 to 5 years or related experience. Â

For individuals assigned or hired to work in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, NJ; New York State; and/or Washington State, the base salary range is listed below. This range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
 $115,000 - $163,000/year

Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above range may be modified in the future
