GENERAL FUNCTION:

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing program that provides eCommerce capabilities for Fifth Third bank. Specifically, within the eCommerce space, you will help lead the Consumer Account Opening and Onboarding platform strategy, design, development, and delivery. You will partner with key individuals across our program to deliver a platform that will allow for prospects to open an account and establish a new relationship with the bank, in addition to customers who want to deepen their relationship through opening a second or a third account.

As a Consumer Account Opening Product Owner, you will collaborate with other Account Opening PO's and agile team leads to develop and execute our product vision, which includes running discovery sessions, writing user stories, owning the product backlog, and seeing through from development to release. The role requires significant cross-functional collaboration and ensuring work is well managed, communicated, and understood, and agreed by internal and external stakeholders.

The optimal candidate is a driver who thrives on implementing new initiatives to maximize growth and deliver best-in-class products through data driven decisions. The candidate can be both strategic and tactical at times, with a business value focused mindset but still understand technology. In addition to staying abreast of key trends and developments in the industry, across competitors, and demonstrate a passion for innovation in their day-to-day work.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborate with another Account Opening PO, your agile team lead, and the overall eCommerce program to set ambitious and clear product vision and communicate it effectively to stakeholders
  • Own the development of your Account Opening roadmap and assist with the development of the full eCommerce program roadmap
  • Shepard products through development, testing, and launch, advocating to achieve the best outcomes (always attacking the right problems to solve)
  • Understand your funnel process and all of the supporting data points that can explain behaviors across your journey (happy flows, exceptional flows, usage, and adoption)
  • If there is a gap in data collection, ensure we are able to address that gap through implementing all of the required analytics and reports to fully understand user behaviors across our experiences
  • Ensure your product is fully monitored/alerted to understand usage/volume data and ensure no or minimal outages occur outside of our established maintenance windows
  • Make data driven decisions to constantly strive to release new features or deliver feature updates that improve funnel pull-through while delivering best-in-class experiences to our prospects and customers
  • Constantly perform competitive analysis to benchmark your product to other direct or indirect competitors in the space (regional, national, fintech's, last best experience)
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, design, development, engineering, and Line of Business teams from development through testing and launch
  • Identify and understand regulatory requirements and needs within the product domain (e.g., privacy and accessibility laws)
  • Translate business requirements and user needs into user stories and user testing/acceptance criteria
  • Build and maintain a sprint backlog (refined at least 2 sprints out) for upcoming development
  • Facilitate release planning with stakeholders as well as sprint demos
  • Prioritize resources and features, set objectives for the sprints, maintain a list of features in order to increase market share and increase adoption within target market
  • Work with engineering and support to improve the development team's efficiency
  • Ensure acceptance criteria are clear and complete
  • Work with QA and development to ensure complete and efficient testing
  • Work with support teams to resolve customer issues including triaging and prioritizing bugs and customer-reported issues
  • Ensure the development team is working on the highest priorities using weighted job first methodology where appropriate
  • Track and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Establish annual goals and objectives for products.
  • Provide transparency and ongoing communications with line of business partners/key stakeholders.
  • Maintain and provide product information to partners for contact center and retail training documentation.
  • Actively monitor industry trends; participate in industry forums, professional associations, conferences, etc.


MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.

5-7 years of related experience (as a Digital Product Owner or Product Manager within the agile space).

Demonstrated success in strategic development and program execution with Consumer banking digital products such as: Online Account Opening software and Processes Security, Identity Management, Authentication, Attack or Fraud Mitigation, Money Movement, Online Bill Payment, Transfers, Payments, Credit/Debit Card Self Service features, and Alerts.

Experience working in Agile development preferred / strongly encouraged.
