Diversified Communications is growing! We are looking for an innovative Digital Products Director to join our Clean Energy Group. The Digital Products Director will be responsible for building and ensuring the success of the digital products that support our presence in the Clean Energy space. These products fall under the Intersolar North America, Energy Storage North America and Smart Energy Decisions brands.

The ideal candidate has experience and knowledge working in high growth digital product teams serving B2B markets. This position is responsible for the strategic direction of assigned digital products, managing key employees, developing, and delivering budgets, supporting all launches and maximizing long term growth opportunities for portfolio.

This role is part of the Clean Energy Group leadership team and will work closely with external customers as well asinternal teams (Marketing, Sales, Web, Customer Success, Finance, Content) to optimize portfolio and grow audiences.

The Digital Products Director will understand the key audience and client/customer personas and be responsible for designingproducts and experiences that are valuable to these personas and are profitable. This person will become responsible for fostering a customer-centric, data-driven, test and learn culture.

Essential Functions:

Strategic Leadership: Strategic planning for digital products, managing the product lifecycle, overseeing key business initiatives, identifying new opportunities and maximizing growth opportunities. This position is specifically responsible for digital products to be built or enhanced supporting the Intersolar and Smart Energy Decisions brands.

Decision Making: Responsible for high-level strategic business decisions that impact multiple products, operations and teams.

Fiscal Responsibility: Responsible for developing, reporting on, and delivering digital product budgets and revenue, profit and growth goals.

People Management: Leadership and management responsibilities for multiple employees. Develops and retains key talent, effectively manages personnel issues. Actively support Diversified's culture and values in all interactions with direct reports, team members, peers, etc.

Key Business Relationships: Key point of contact for senior level key customers, vendors and associations that are critical to business operations, directly managing these relationships and making business decisions that involve them. Responsible for ensuring team delivers high level of customer satisfaction and flawless service levels.

Tactical Work: Works with teams as needed on executing action items.

Revenue Growth: Always looking at opportunities for growing this business further. New partnerships, training programs, research opportunities, etc. Create business plan for any launches.

Transparency: Work with VP to deliver weekly reports around performance to goal, address issues/concerns as they arise.

Process: Ensure the product team is working effectively with sales and marketing; that the product team has clear understanding of responsibilities and leveraging the resources of central services, allowing the product team to focus on their primary responsibilities.

Data & Technology: Actively support the vision of the value of data in our decision-making process, and technology as a business enabler. Work with managers and the data team to create efficiencies wherever possible through technology. Ensure necessary team members have access to the data needed, real-time, to aid in making informed decisions. Identify opportunities and obstacles as needed to VP.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Building a close relationship with sales & marketing to ensure a tight alignment between theproducts that are developed and how they are sold and marketed.
  • Work with marketing to develop the core positioning and messaging.
  • Work with content, marketing, sales and operations to ensure revenue, profitability and customer satisfaction goals are met
  • Manage a team, including content, to ensure data is a key factor driving the content we produce and the channels we produce that content in

Skills & Qualifications:

Knowledge: 5-8+ years of related work experience, specifically B2B digital experience.

Skills: Excellent interpersonal, writing, presentation, leadership, networking and financial management skills. Experience in managing key business partnerships, developing and executing new product launches, and acquisition integration.

Abilities: Managing growth and change, listening to, and understanding customers and needs in the market, adept at handling multiple priorities and providing direction and oversight to key functional reporting areas. Sees the bigger picture and helps team members understand how their role plays a part in delivering results and success.
