Role Overview

The role may be located in the Indianapolis, Indiana office, Boulder, Colorado office, or the United Kingdom office. We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director of Digital Products to join our dynamic and innovative omnichannel, global retail ecosystem. This leader will play a critical role in shaping and executing the digital product strategy across our online and in-store channels globally. The Director of Digital Products will lead the strategy, vision, development and enhancement of our digital products, ensuring an exceptional user experience, driving conversion optimization, and influencing strategic build vs. buy decisions to support our business objectives.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead the JD Group Product Management team, responsible for driving & shaping the development & roadmap for web, mobile, app & omni-channel services engaging stakeholders across the business
  • Own the end-to-end strategy, design & product lifecycle management
  • Consolidate & prioritise requests working with the Tech CoE to understand options, cost & complexity & finalise business cases
  • Ensure business requirements are clear & in-tact when translated into technical requirements by the Tech CoE
  • Ensure latest UX/UI trends are monitored & deliver wireframes to front-end tech teams
  • Standardise JD user experience principles across regions, fascias & platforms
  • Oversee engineering resources executing basic front-end changes (UX/UI & A/B tests)
  • Work with the Tech CoE to ensure timely, high-quality launches in-line with business needs
  • Support agile best practices through the team & across the organisation
  • Research best practice across sectors & markets regarding platform optimisation
  • Coordinate & advise Regional Implementation teams on omni-channel roll-out
  • Manage the overall product strategy & associated tech strategy
  • Create a process to define & prioritise roadmap plus ongoing

    feature optimisation
  • Own the global guiding principles of UX & JD Group designs

Skills/ Experience/ Knowledge Needed:

  • Held Senior Product Management roles overseeing multiple product owners with at least 10+ years experience
  • Expertise in digital retail & best practice to inform key strategic decisions
  • Experience managing a development roadmap across the end-to-end customer journey
  • Demonstrated managerial experience building and managing high-performing teams
  • Advanced knowledge of agile best practice, standing-up and supporting agile teams
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders across both business & tech. functions
