Summary
The purpose of this role is to support the Agronomic Data Intelligence Manager to create sales enablement analytics to optimize the business. This role will be key in helping SGS deliver data driven agronomy on every acre. Through discovery and mastery of agronomic data, this individual will develop processes and techniques that will lead to valuable insights and analytics for Crop Advisors and Product Management to grow market share. Innovative methods for agronomic analysis and insights will be developed using various data modeling approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Build processes to collect, analyze and interpret large agronomic data sets to grow market share
- Perform exploratory data analysis of agronomic data using various modeling approaches to optimize the business
- Develop visualizations, graphics and reports for Crop Advisors and Product Management to help improve product placement and sales
Typical Education
Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
Relevant Experience
- 4+ years related experience and/or training
- Mastery of either Python or R for data processing and analytics.
- Experience with database design/maintenance and SQL.
- Working knowledge of statistics and spatial data analysis concepts.
- Must be self-guided with creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent writing, communication, and collaboration skills.
- GIS and agriculture experience preferred.
Travel Required: Less than 10%
