Job Description

The Digital Scrum Master for Allen Media Digital will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the presence of Agile within the organization. The ideal candidate will bring previous experiences, best practices, and a collaborative attitude to help drive revenue growth, efficiency, and value within our software. The Digital Scrum Master must be able to protect the team while also protecting the business interest. He or she must be able to excel in a dynamic digital media environment and be hungry and poised to drive change within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Delivering software projects using agile methodologies while having very good understanding of the entire Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Facilitate/participate and lead in key Agile ceremonies across multiple teams, supporting both Scrum and Kanban.
  • Protect the development teams from interruption while training the organization the impact of each change request on the team and company.
  • Coach team members as needed, including resolving conflict while communicating project risks in a fully transparent department.
  • Manage projects within Atlassian while monitoring and reporting on key Agile performance metrics to the leadership team.
  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and ensuring information distribution to the right recipients.
  • Proactively execute servant leadership and act towards getting the most out of self-organizing teams.
  • Analyze our current Agile processes, prioritize areas of improvement, and work alongside key stakeholders to implement the improvements.
  • Above all else, foster and model a collaborative team environment driven to build great software while having fun.

Education, Experience, Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology or relative field.
  • CSM (Certified Scrum Master) certification, with 2+ years of on-the-job experience.
  • 5+ years working with a software development life cycle.
  • 3+ years on-the-job experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially high ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Possess positive and professional communication skills with all levels of stakeholders and management.
  • Dependable, proactive, organized, and highly motivated with ability to multitask.
  • Work experience in a Product Development organization.
  • Work experience in Digital (Web and/or Mobile).
  • Additional Agile certifications like: CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner), ACSM (Advanced Certified Scrum Master), CSC (Certified Scrum Coach), or CST (Certified Scrum Trainer) certifications.
  • A big plus would be the ability to show a proven track record in the industry with contributions to Agile community, maintaining
