Job Purpose

Key responsibilities of a Digital Signage Engineer include the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our growing customer base of Digital Signage solutions.The right personality is an independent problem solver with a strong, positive attitude. The ability to learn and implement new technologies is paramount. The position is part of a team that is responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available Digital Signage architectures that meet external customer objectives and SLAs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a team member within Digital Signage Engineering; being responsible for leading Digital Signage rollouts, projects, process flow, documentation, and on-going maintenance of assigned accounts.
  • Support, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and coordinate the usage of, but not limited to: Digital Signage Management Systems, Players and all other components of the Digital Signage solutions implemented for customer networks.
  • Assess customer environments and make recommendations based on needs.
  • Provide assessments, design deployment, and implementation services of multi-vendor solutions, and maintain support methodologies for multiple large customers.
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the Digital Signage infrastructure
  • Work to define and develop automation to create efficiencies among other operational teams
  • Provide engineering support for Digital Signage design, performance tuning, and monitoring
  • Digital Signage incident and outage escalation for Network Operations Center
  • Prepares other teams (CIM, Test & Turn Up, Customer Technical Support, Config-Line, Network Ops, etc.) by designing and conducting new and existing project training programs and documented turnover procedures
  • Liaison with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Provide Tier 2 support for CTS as required
  • Work with DS Solutions Architecture on Pilots/POC testing
  • Additional responsibilities include:
  • Pushing content for clients
  • Updating and modifying images for all media players
  • Command Point server administration
  • Navori server administration
  • BrightSign server administration
  • BroadSign server administration
  • Samsung MagicInfo server administration
  • TeamViewer administrator for adding user access to SageNet Digital Signage client groups
  • xConnect administrator for adding user access to SageNet Digital Signage client groups

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, Digital Signage diagnostic, and Digital Signage analytics tools
  • 4+ years of Digital Signage experience in environments supporting multiple vendors and Digital Signage products
  • Well-versed with Digital Signage Engineering and support of routers, switches, Digital Signage security devices, and Digital Signage management systems
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and interface with senior management.
  • Proficient in the use of Visio, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Networking and scripting experience preferred.
  • Desire to continue to learn new technologies around displays, AV distribution, and Digital Signage infrastructure

  • Standard daytime working hours, 24/7 on call schedule, and ability to respond to a support call in off hours.

Physical Requirements

  • Be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.

  • Extensive use of hands and fingers for typing
  • Extensive use of eyes in reviewing paper documents or a computer screen
