Digital Solutions Business Analyst
Job Description
The Digital Solutions Business Analyst (BA) will be responsible for facilitating and detailing the overall design of the assigned portion of NCQA's new digital solutions, as well as recommending best practices and priority client business needs. This is a B2B product line that will provide exposure to several different types of customers and data within healthcare. This role as a digital solutions BA will be expected to gain a strategic understanding of our product lines and the ability to translate those into requirements for the development teams. You'll work closely with business owners, development teams, customers, and product teams to design solutions.
The digital solutions BA will also be responsible for writing business and technical requirements based on interactions directly with stakeholders ranging from customers, partners, product, operations, and technology. The expectation would be that this person is familiar, but not an expert in the following concepts agile best practices, software development tools, and cloud providers. Any healthcare experience is appreciated as it will help apply context to the solution and technology design and choices.
Overall, we're looking for a person who is highly motivated about problem solving from a variety of different perspectives and curious about new concepts.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work effectively and individually with technical and non-technical team members and customers to define and refine requirements to maximize business value from development and release.
- Plan and lead processes that facilitate consensus and brainstorming to create and define solutions. Create and manage artifacts used between stakeholders through development, testing, and business acceptance
- Perform analyses on digital quality solution software tooling, business, content, and customer needs
- Work cross functionally between teams to help implement tooling by detailing out requirements and assisting in prioritization
- Utilize analytical and technical skills to review and advance current product management best practices within the organization
- Oversee and ensure successful completion of all aspects of delivery for assigned scope. This person has the ability to make decisions based upon good judgement and analytical skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (or a combination of education and experience which demonstrates the necessary requirements of this position)
- 2+ years of agile requirement experience either consuming or creating them
- Familiarity with software development and cloud concepts and tools
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile processes
- Draft meaningful and compelling presentations and flow diagrams to describe user flow
- Perform project planning steps including researching the existing business system, documenting business requirements, and identifying improvement opportunities
- Assist with soliciting and creating functional requirements
- Create and maintain user stories and technical requirements
- Assist in creating and validating test plan aligns with customer needs
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to understand and contribute to finding solutions for both simple as well as complex problems
- Perform other related duties as assigned
