JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Digital Solutions Engineer

Department: Centre of Excellence (Digital)

Responsible to: Digital Team Leader, CoE

Location: Pune, India

Overall purpose of the job: To ensure success, a Digital Solutions Engineer must demonstrate an excellent understanding of Oil & Gas business, mainly focused on Production Data Management and Hydrocarbon Accounting knowledge and IoT principles. It is highly recommended to have rich experience on technologies includes .Net Framework (WPF/WinForms/MVC), C#, XML, Angular, HTML, CSS, SQL, Oracle, Business Intelligence tools includes Power BI & Dundas. Candidate should have ability to self-learn and gain experience with on job trainings methodology.

Main duties:

• Good understanding of requirements captured from regional teams/customers.
• Development and deployment of standard Avocet solutions includes configuration of screens, loaders, processes, well and zonal allocations, shortfall management, security & data validations setup.
• Development and deployment of customized avocet solutions using .Net framework, C#, XML, Angular, HTML, CSS, SQL & Oracle
• Able to write complex SQL queries, procedures, triggers & schedulers.
• Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
• Support and troubleshoot regional teams/customers’ requests during User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Able to travel world-wide on Short Term Assignments (STA) as on need basis.
• Able to learn and work on any business intelligence tool
• Taking initiatives to learn and deliver new technologies requirements such as cloud platforms and in-house applications.
• Good communications skills to deal with any teams and customers.
• Taking ownership and responsibility of assigned tasks and drive it.
• Prepare documentation and user guides as on need basis.
• Ability to work and support as per different time zones.

Qualifications/Experience:

JOB COMPLEXITY

Works on requirements of diverse scope where analysis of requirements needs to be done and be able to customize the solution as per regional/ customers’ requests following standard methodologies within in the defined time frame.

SUPERVISION

Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, generally instructions on new assignments.

EXPERIENCE

Typically requires a minimum of 5-6 years of experience on Production Data Management & Development

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL

A experienced professional with understanding of Oil & Gas business mainly focused on Production Data Management Solutions and Hydrocarbon Accounting knowledge along with the strong skills to perform customizations using .Net C# coding and database skills.

SCOPE

Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines the process by which to meet goals.

INTERACTION

Frequently interacts with peers and regional teams/customers to gain cooperation of others. Networks with senior internal/external personnel in own area of expertise.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree, Information Technology or Petroleum Engineer
