Digital Special Programs Leader

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

As a Special Programs Technical Lead at nVent, you’ll:

· Be responsible for Architecting, Designing and Delivering high visibility modern Digital Solutions that support nVent’s Cloud Transformation strategy

· Work with matrix leaders and key resources across Digital pillars- Operations and Infrastructure, Marketing, Cybersecurity and Data Analytics

· Be an architect to innovate and recommend solutions to support large Digital Transformation initiatives including Cloud and ERP transformation

· Analyze, Design and Deliver on new or acquired workload migrations from on-premise data centers to AWS Cloud, or integrate acquired workloads with a Meet-in-the-Cloud approach

· Be aware of other Cloud Hyperscalers such as Azure, GCP, Oracle

· Design and Deliver on a Disaster Recovery Plan for critical AWS Cloud hosted workloads like ERPs including security notifications

· Monitor and improve Cost Management for the AWS Cloud spend by tuning servers and services and recommending savings plans as appropriate

· Pilot innovative and leading edge solutions

· Manage technical team members, coach and guide Software Engineers, assist with job interviews, onboard and train new employees

· Communicate and coach Digital leaders on Industry trends and new Technologies

YOU HAVE:

· Bachelor’s and/or master's degree in computer science preferred or equivalent work experience.

· Ideally at least 10 years’ experience in Enterprise IT application development, including 5 years with Cloud Transformation including:

· Setting up a new AWS region

· DNS and AD integration, Network connectivity, Transit Gateway

· Implementing solutions to gain efficiency by automation and cost optimization e.g. Baselining AWS Account, Automating TGW attachments, Auto Start/Stop servers.

· Setting up Control Tower, AWS Organization, Control Tower Customization, Transit gateway orchestrator, AWS Config

· Experience with major workload migrations to AWS Cloud such as

· SAP, JDE, SharePoint, Enovia, EDI

· Lift and shift workloads

· Required technical skills: AWS, ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, Python, CloudFormation, ASP, VB Script, XML, XSLT, XPath, HTML, CSS, Java Script, IIS

· Preferred technical skills: Visual Studio .Net, Visual Studio Team Services, SourceGear, SVN

SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Server, ORACLE 8, EDI

· Knowledge and experience with Agile and Test-Driven development methodologies a plus.

· Agile Product Owner experience

· Broad understanding and experience with Digital platforms including building and supporting websites, Ecommerce and custom development using VB.NET, ASP.net, C#, SSIS, DB2, SQL Server, SSL certificates

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present and influence views in a clear and compelling manner.

· Strong aptitude for troubleshooting essential.

· Ability to build and maintain effective relationships across various IT functional areas

· Ability to work across time zones in a multi-cultural environment.

· The ability to clearly and comfortably view, interpret and process information via a computer monitor for extended periods of time during normal working hours required.

· Potential travel requirements are 1 - 3 trips per year (including international travel).
