Our Digital Workplace Sr. Power Platform Engineer would ideally be located near an AES office; however, we will consider other locations as this position can work from home, office, or a combination. AES is a Fortune 500 global power company that operates on four continents. Check us out!

Your role

As a member of our Global Digital Workplace Experience & Collaborations team, you deliver modern experiences with a focus on digital satisfaction. You play a key role in enabling AES people to have an optimized digital experience in the Microsoft Power Platform.

What you'll do

As our Digital Workplace Senior Power Platform Engineer, you will have experience administering a Power Bi environment. This means you will coordinate all activity around Power BI and daily operations of the environment, which include monitoring, upgrades, and tuning. You contribute technical analysis and advanced troubleshooting of complex issues and develop and maintain technical documentation. You provide advanced analysis of identified performance and work to develop and deploy mitigation plans. You will have fundamental understanding and experience optimizing dashboards with focus on usability, performance, and standardization. You will help improve our architecture for Microsoft Power Platform. You will assist in the coordination and implementation of the strategy including documentation, development, and maintenance including Microsoft Viva.

What you'll need

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Power Bi Administration including administration of Premium Capacity, Monitoring, and Data Security
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in MS Power Platform (including Power Automate and Power Apps)
  • Knowledge in Adaptive Card (AC) creation for Viva Connections, Teams and Outlook
  • Bachelor's Degree (Information Technology / Computer Science/Engineering) preferred or equivalent with relevant work experience required.
  • Strong team player with initiative, adaptability, communication skills, and resilience
  • Experience setting up automated data refresh of datasets and creating dashboards
