What You Will Do:

At Allegro Microsystems we architect, design, and deploy advanced technology mixed-signal sensors. We currently have openings for Digital/DSP design interns to join our Model-Based Design Team. This opportunity will allow an individual to contribute within the framework of a broader experienced analog, mixed-signal, and digital team. We are looking for a motivated candidate that can leverage the group's experience to begin quickly contributing to the success of the team.

Our Team uses cutting-edge tools to design state-of-the-art sensors in Allegro's Model-Based Design flow for digital signal processing applications. You may be exposed to a variety of tools based on the specific application requirement, including Mathworks Simulink applications, embedded microprocessor coding, Matlab scripting, Verilog, SystemVerilog, and Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).

Typical tasks for a Design engineer include:

• Development of signal processing and control algorithms through system modeling from concept, prototyping, testing, and validation to production
• Modeling Analog-Mixed Signal blocks and other digital blocks in Simulink to be tested and verified with our DSP solutions
• Development of Matlab scripts and flows that helps us automate our tasks and efficiently integrate our work with other teams.
• Writing and/or debug of Simulink models using Mathworks tools including Stateflow, HDL coder, and digital signal processing toolbox

Education and Experience Requirements

The successful candidate will be in the process of acquiring a Bachelor's, Masters, or Doctorate in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with a 3.5+ GPA. Knowledge of the fundamentals of digital design and digital signal processing is a must. Excellent communication, documentation, problem-solving and analytical skills are required. Experience with the use of Matlab, Simulink toolset, Verilog, System Verilog, Synthesis, DFT, UVM, embedded microprocessor, and FPGA Design and implementation is a plus. Any exposure to one of the structured verification methodologies is a strong plus.
