What We’re Looking For

Cross River’s Cards and Banking as a Service (BaaS) team is committed to providing a full suite of banking products to its FinTech clients. Through BaaS, the goal is to build beautiful, revolutionary customer experiences across industry verticals. The team is dedicated to creating more truly seamless and integrated customer experiences while ensuring that risks are properly managed. This role supports the Cards & BaaS division by serving as the relationship manager in compliance related initiatives.
Responsibilities:

  • Carry out the day-to-day due diligence to support Cross River’s business clients.
  • Perform a preliminary review of due diligence items, partnering with clients and internal stakeholders for any areas requiring additional review.
  • Manage clients’ documentation submitted via multiple communication channels.
  • Compile data and information derived from multiple sources into due diligence memo.
  • Identify information gaps and recommend action items to close any gaps identified.
  • Coordinate and participate in weekly due diligence client meetings, providing support directly to the client, business development and relationship management team.
  • Follow-up with clients and internal stakeholders in a timely manner and on a regular basis when appropriate, to close out items.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships and work directly with executive members of client companies, anticipating their needs and bringing new value to relationships.
  • Continue to work with internal stakeholders and foster strong relationships across the organization to create a smoother and more efficient due diligence process for the stakeholders and the clients.
  • Take on and complete additional projects/assignments, as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of compliance and/or due diligence experience in the FinTech and/or banking industry.
  • General understanding of regulatory compliance as they apply to the FinTech and/or banking industry, including industry best practices.
  • Analytical and research skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Current knowledge and experience with using MS suite of applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word,), data management and Internet search tools.
  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and assist with reviews, projects and/or team initiatives.
  • Strong critical thinking, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that appeals to a wide audience.
  • Strong organizational skills and willingness to take ownership and responsibility of tasks.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision. 
  • Travel as needed to Bank’s headquarters and client site, including New Jersey (for remote employees).

Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00
