We are currently seeking a Director, Ad Sales Finance to join our Finance team based in our New York, New York headquarters.

JOB SUMMARY

This position will be a key member of the Ad Sales Finance team, supporting all aspects of the AMC Networks pricing & sales forecasting, revenue analysis, and financial closes. The positions will offer great exposure to learn all aspects of Domestic Ad Sales within AMC Networks, which includes AMC, WE, Sundance, BBC, IFC and Digital properties including AVOD/FAST. This position will be responsible for managing and developing a team of one and will be required to work closely with finance, pricing & inventory, research, and accounting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own and manage review of updates to Ad Sales Digital Revenue model for AMCN OLV, VOD, DAI, and AVOD/FAST partnerships.
  • Prepare analysis and consolidation of Ad Sales Linear Revenue models across all networks
  • Manage and consolidate monthly forecasting, budget and LRP process along with management reporting for Domestic Advertising Revenue
  • Manage the tracking and forecast of spending by the Domestic Advertising Revenue group throughout all key financial cycles (Forecast, Budget, Monthly Closes and Estimates)
  • Support in preparation of Board of Director's Budget presentations and quarterly reporting
  • Manage finance support for the Gaming & Franchise team and integrate reporting into overall Commercial Revenue results (including but not limited budget, forecasts and close analysis)
  • Track and analyze trends of key Domestic Ad Sales metrics, including audience delivery and pricing, and analyze drivers of key variances.
  • Coordinate and review monthly close accrual for Digital revenue, including reconciliations of reporting from various external partners.
  • Coordinate and review monthly close accrual processes for Ad Sales Expenses
  • Coordinate and review monthly revenue share process for the AVOD/FAST platforms
  • Coordinate and review quarterly close entry of Ad Sales Makegood Liability
  • Support various financial operations tasks and inquiries (i.e. assisting with FAST/AVOD processes for platform launches)
  • Support cross-functional Commercial Revenue Deal Renewals through data preparation and analysis
  • Prepare and report risks and opportunities related to Consolidated Ad Sales Revenue and Expense Budget and Forecasts
  • Partner closely with P&I and Research teams
  • Provide ongoing support to VP-Distribution and Advertising Finance in fundamental reporting and analysis, and ad hoc tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel/PowerPoint and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of media.
  • Proven team player with the ability to take on different assignments/projects in a timely manner.
  • Proven ability to alternate from detailed work to client/support team interaction seamlessly.
  • Demonstrates ability to be detail and process-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative in challenging situations.
  • Ability to perform in-depth, detailed analyses and summarize key takeaways.

The base compensation range for this position is $130,000 to $155,000 commensurate with experience. AMC Networks additionally offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Paid Time Off, Paid Parental Leave and Adoption Services, among other benefit plan options, subject to eligibility requirements.
