Job Summary
The Director of Brand Marketing will be a multi-faceted marketer with a strong emphasis on driving both strategy and process to launch complex and fast-moving projects. The Director of brand marketing is creative and operationally focused, able to turn product and business priorities into thoughtful marketing strategies and drive collaboration across teams to produce best-in-class content. This role requires someone capable of collaborating with leadership and several cross-functional partners, owning communication vertically and horizontally within the organization.
Essential Job Functions *
- Create and actualize a consumer-centric and differentiating retail vision that drives engagement and conversion for Hillman's portfolio of brands.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Channel teams to help maximize sales of Hillman brands and products via in-store point-of-purchase materials, displays, messaging, product demonstration, and brand engagement tools.
- Expand revenue and improve key product and brand performance. Drive profitability and YoY increases by managing costs and overall investments.
- Working cross-functionally to lead the development and implementation of in-store materials, inclusive of merchandising materials and strategies.
- Bring brand strategy to life through creative development and execution with cross-functional partners - via brand building and awareness campaigns in all channels. Develop strategy/case to support new business and programming opportunities.
- Develop design guidelines to ensure a consistent, scalable experience across all retail formats and environments to facilitate efficient production and execution.
- Leverage data and insights across the organization to enhance the company's approach and solutions.
- Be a steward of the brand internally and externally, ensuring all channels and departments are working towards the same consistent brand vision across voice, look and feel
- Review and manage creative briefs associated with concept and asset development needed for campaigns, launches, etc. and support the identification of external creative resources when needed
- Execute industry trade publications supporting innovation and product launches
- Review and enhance, where vital, all marketing processes, measurements, information systems, etc. that enable overall marketing functions to operate efficiently and effectively.
- Lead a team of graphic designers and consistently and thoroughly deliver training, development, and performance management support.

Education & Experience • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. • 10+ years of marketing/ brand management experience • Strong quantitative and analytical skills. • Strong Communication Skills • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and functions to achieve strategic alignment • Graphical Design / Creative experience preferred
