POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the planning, direct oversight and execution of revenue management activities within the Region. This position interacts with all levels of management and is the liaison between the local operating units and the corporate office. Critical elements of the role include:
- Optimization of revenue yield
- Support and reinforce company's strategic goals
- Oversee and coordinate the revenue management function
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluation of local and regional revenue management practices to ensure appropriate and advantageous utilization of tactics with the goal of optimizing revenue performance
- Assess market performance across services and segments. Develop recommendations and action items to further drive market, service, and segment share and profitability
- Develop strategic recommendations by working with business units to analyze and understand all necessary data (internal sales data, market trends, competitive landscape and current prices)
- Work with corporate pricing on company-wide pricing and program initiatives
- Manage customer portfolio review process
- Direct, train and coach field managers to maximize market performance utilizing relevant information systems/tools
- Develop financial models to analyze and recommend pricing
- Track and report on key performance metrics related to market pricing strategies
- Perform other job related duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance
- Minimum 7-10 years' experience in pricing, financial analysis
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:
- Graduate degree in Business, Finance or Economics (Preferred)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to develop financial models to analyze and recommend pricing
- Excellent analytical skills
- Previous experience in developing and implementing new pricing strategies and plans
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across functional teams and different organizational levels to deliver results
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Ability to plan, implement and monitor projects
Machines, Tools, Equipment and Software USED:
- Usual office equipment including computer, phone, fax machine, copier and calculator.
- MS Office including Word, Excel, Visio and Project, and PowerPoint
- Advanced Excel skills required
ENVIRONMENTAL/ATMOSPHERIC WORKING CONDITIONS:
- This role generally operates in an office environment in which limited exposure to hazardous working conditions exists. Physical requirements include ability to operate office equipment and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Up to 40% travel may be required
