We are looking for a Director Systems Engineering to be part of our global team as we deploy cutting edge real time payment platforms, used by global financial and e-Commerce corporations around the world.

Ideal Candidate:

Our Cloud Technology & Operations team is looking for a Technology leader responsible for shaping, delivering, and supporting both our on-prem and cloud-based payments solutions. The role will be accountable for day-to-day Application Operations, providing technical and budgetary direction, recommendations for solutions, vendors, cloud architecture and design activities. This role will be focused on our Real-Time Payments Cloud solutions, servicing Customers from APAC to the US.

You are comfortable leading and working as part of a geographically dispersed team, and cross functionally across a global Cloud Hosting organization. You have the ability to navigate when the path is not clear; and collaborate when faced with challenges; develop procedures and flows that are transparent, scalable, and that can be successfully implemented across many functions and locations.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership - inspire, mentor, advocate for, and develop your team to drive change and innovation in partnership with other business and operations leaders
• Lead our Application Operations team supporting critical Payment Systems deployed both in our physical and Cloud based environments ensuring adherence to business objectives and required security standards
• Establish, monitor, and maintain the governance processes necessary to achieve operational excellence in your space
• Lead via a proactive approach to production resilience by identifying and developing monitoring, alerting, orchestration and automation strategies to deliver business results against your Product Portfolio. Do so while continuing to drive the execution of operational enhancements and continuous improvements projects in collaboration with Business Partners, Peers, and associated vendors
• Accountable for day-to-day Service Delivery of the RTPC Operations solutions at the highest levels of quality
• Demonstrate high levels of flexibility, time management, personal drive, ability to communicate vision, solve problems and execute on goals

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; equivalent experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years Information Technology leadership experience including direct accountability Cloud based Production environments required. Solid experience supporting the operational needs of Azure or AWS production environments is key
• Proven track record of coaching, mentoring and managing a team with strong workload management and process development skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate, connect with and engage stakeholders and team members at all levels
• Demonstrated ability to formally present to Senior and Executive levels both internally, and Customer facing
• Previous experience with the Financial or Payments Industry and related compliance activities
• Proven skills in the areas of budgeting, vendor/partner management, staff structuring, and negotiations
• 15% travel which may be domestic or international. More travel may be required during initial on-boarding
• Ability to support Weekend and off-hours activities as required

Highly Desired:

• At least 5+ years leading mission critical applications and/or infrastructure specifically in Azure highly preferred
• Experience running SRE teams for a modern technology stack using cloud native technologies with a focus on improving systems availability, performance and resiliency
• Technical background with proven analytical skills. The ability to effectively diagnose technical problems and apply a logical approach to problem solving
• Experience architecting, building and maintaining CI/CD frameworks in a Financial Services setting to support Application Operations
• Strong Project Management skills in a technical setting
