Objective: Provide support to those with developmental disabilities in a person-centered way. Encourage independence and daily personal growth while assisting with cares and engaging in activities in the home and in the community.
Schedule:Ā Work anywhere from 8-40 hours a week! Includes working at least every other Saturday and Sunday. Plus, fill-in and holidays.Ā Located in Eagle Lake, less than 8 miles from MNSU campus.
Wage: $16.50 (PT) - $18.00 (FT) per hour
Job Duties and Responsibilities:Ā
- Provide care for others in an individualized and meaningful way.
- Assist in personal cares to those with differing abilities.
- Engage in community activities.
- Help others achieve their goals.
- Advocate for the benefit of others.
- Attend all staff meetings and complete all required training.
- Maintain HIPAA Compliance in all communications, whether written or verbal, external and internal to HMC.
- Follows all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

What do we need from you?
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or general education degree.Ā
- Must hold a valid United States driver's license andĀ pass a driving record check conducted by our insurance carrier unless otherwise noted.
- Prior experience or training is not required, but it is preferred to have experience as a CNA, PCA, Caregiver, DSP, or healthcare related professional.
- Must pass the MN Department of Human Services Background Study
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to complete daily direct care such as bathing, toileting, feeding, and changing.
- Ability to do household chores such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
