This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Directeur(trice) TI, PMO – Gestion de portefeuille et de projets based in Canada.

This senior leadership role is responsible for driving the end-to-end management of the IT project portfolio, ensuring that all initiatives are strategically aligned, properly prioritized, and delivered with consistency and measurable value. You will oversee enterprise-wide demand intake, portfolio planning, and execution governance across a complex, global environment. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership of project and portfolio managers, while also strengthening delivery maturity across the organization. You will play a key part in improving visibility, financial discipline, and execution predictability across all IT initiatives. Acting as a central coordination point between business and technology leaders, you will influence priorities and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. This is a high-impact role that shapes how technology investments are planned, executed, and translated into business value.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the IT PMO portfolio strategy, ensuring strong governance, execution excellence, and alignment with business priorities across all initiatives.

  • Lead IT demand intake, triage, and pipeline management across multiple business units to ensure consistent visibility and prioritization.
  • Oversee portfolio planning cycles in collaboration with governance teams to align initiatives with strategy, funding, and capacity.
  • Manage end-to-end portfolio health, including reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, and decision points for executive stakeholders.
  • Supervise project delivery oversight to improve predictability, manage risks, and ensure alignment with commitments.
  • Identify and resolve cross-project dependencies, resource constraints, and execution bottlenecks.
  • Lead financial oversight of the portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, and value realization tracking.
  • Act as a key liaison between IT leadership, business stakeholders, and delivery teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Drive continuous improvement of PMO practices, standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of portfolio and project managers, fostering accountability and delivery excellence.

  • Requirements:

    The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in IT portfolio leadership and strong capabilities in large-scale program delivery within complex environments.

    • 10+ years of experience in IT project management, portfolio management, or PMO leadership roles at enterprise scale.
    • Experience in global manufacturing or CPG environments with complex operational structures.
    • Proven track record managing large, cross-functional, and strategically critical project portfolios.
    • Strong background in end-to-end IT project delivery using structured methodologies.
    • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams of project and portfolio managers.
    • Strong financial acumen related to budgeting, forecasting, and investment decision support.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills with strong influencing ability.
    • Ability to operate in structured enterprise environments with complex governance and lifecycle processes.
    • Bilingual proficiency in French and English required for Quebec-based stakeholders.
    • Experience with SAP as a core ERP system is considered an asset.
